Responsibilities of a Med-Tech:
<ul>
<li>Making sure residents receive medication as prescribed and ordered on time as directed.</li>
<li>Charting to keep clear and correct up to date information on each resident.</li>
<li>Monitored, measured and documented patients' vital signs in MAR on the computer.</li>
<li>Supported treatment goals by assisting clients with prescribed medications, exercises, and ambulation activities.</li>
<li>Completed frequent cleaning and sanitizing to maintain healthy environment for patients.</li>
<li>Assisted nursing staff with diverse care needs of dementia and alzheimer residents.</li>
<li>Responded to patient emergencies and physically stressful situations to restore calm or administer treatments.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications of a Med-Tech:
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent required</li>
<li>Med Tech Certification</li>
<li>Current certificate in first aid and CPR preferred</li>
<li>Significant experience working in a home health care environment is strongly preferred</li>
<li>Good communication skills, excellent conversational skills</li>
<li>Able to lift heavy objects, help move clients, and perform physical tasks</li>
<li>Comfortable using medical technologies and lab equipment</li>
</ul>
