Position Summary

As an Immigration Case Manager on our 
Employment-Based Technology team, you will support attorneys and fellow case managers help global clients navigate the U.S. immigration system. This role focuses on data entry, back-office support, and administrative case work for the technology immigration practice. You will provide essential support to ensure data accuracy, efficient case preparation, and smooth processing of employment-based immigration matters, including non-immigrant visas (H&#8209;1B, L&#8209;1, TN, E&#8209;3, E&#8209;2, F&#8209;1/F&#8209;2, B&#8209;1/B&#8209;2), PERM, I&#8209;140 immigrant petitions, and I&#8209;485 Adjustment of Status applications. 
Typical work hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, but flexible. This position can be fully remote from any U.S. location, or based in either our Troy, MI or Ann Arbor, MI office as an in-person or hybrid role. Please note - although this role can be remote, all work must be performed within the United States. 
What You&rsquo;ll Do:
<ul><li>In collaboration with our attorneys, you'll support employers and their international employees in a variety of occupational categories and industries</li>
<li>Assist with client intake and case preparation by entering and validating high-volume data (including questionnaire responses, contact details, and document checklists) into our immigration case management system</li>
<li>Ensure all client records and related data are accurate, complete, and up to date. Document missing information for follow-up by a senior team member</li>
<li>Assemble filing packets (forms, supporting documents, etc.) for attorney or senior team member review</li>
<li>Effectively prioritize and manage workload in a fast-paced environment, while consistently meeting strict deadlines and achieving high performance goals</li>
<li>As you develop your skills, you&rsquo;ll have opportunities to take on more advanced tasks such as drafting, case preparation, and client communication</li>
</ul>
What Skills and Experience You&rsquo;ll Bring:

<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in relevant area of study</li>
<li>Up to 2 years of experience, ideally in legal support, administrative, customer service, or related roles</li>
</ul><ul><li>Working understanding of immigration processes or immigration law</li>
</ul><ul><li>Tech-savvy mindset with curiosity to learn new systems, tools, and workflows</li>
</ul><ul><li>Proficiency with legal platforms such as BlueDot, INSZoom, or similar systems</li>
</ul><ul><li>High proficiency in document tools like Adobe Acrobat</li>
<li>Ability to communicate and collaborate professionally and effectively with team members both in person and using tools like Teams or Slack</li>
<li>Excellent client service skills, delivering highly responsive and proactive client service</li>
<li>Exceptional attention to detail and organization in fast-paced, high-volume settings</li>

Position Summary:

As an Attorney on our Green Card Services team, you will be part of a team of Attorneys and Case Managers that help our global clients navigate the US immigration system. You will work on immigration matters including I-140 Immigrant petitions, I-485 Adjustment of Status (AOS) applications and/or Immigrant Visa Processing applications. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help companies, their international employees, and our individual High-Skilled Immigration (HSI) clients achieve their professional goals - it's truly rewarding work. 
This position can be fully remote from any U.S. location, or based in either our Troy, MI or Ann Arbor, MI office as an in-person or hybrid role. Please note - although this role can be remote, all work must be performed within the United States. 
What you&rsquo;ll do:
<ul>
<li>Under the direction of the practice team Director, you'll work with employers, their international employees, and HSI clients to develop and implement legal strategies for a variety of immigration matters</li>
<li>Conduct in-depth conversations with clients to explain visa application processes and coordinate with clients to gather detailed supporting information and evidence</li>
<li>Answer client questions about application process steps, timelines and costs</li>
<li>Prepare and file green card related applications with the appropriate government offices, in collaboration with fellow Attorneys and Case Managers (paralegals)</li>
<li>Prepare responses to Requests for Evidence issued by government agencies</li>
<li>Research legal issues related to employment-based green card applications and stay informed on the latest immigration law developments</li>
<li>Correspond with other Attorneys and Case Managers within the firm to assist clients with needs that transcend practice groups</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned by management</li>
</ul>
What skills and experience you&rsquo;ll bring:
<ul>
<li>2+ years of experience working in the employment-based immigration field as an attorney. Experience preparing I-140 immigration petitions and I-485 AOS applications is preferable but not required</li>
<li>Familiarity with the interplay between PERM Labor Certification concepts, nonimmigrant status concepts and I-140, AOS, and Immigrant Visa concepts</li>
<li>Ability to prioritize and manage a busy caseload in an efficient manner and consistent with numerous inflexible legal deadlines</li>
<li>Ability to collaborate professionally and effectively with team members</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills, including the ability to break down complex legal concepts into language that is easy for clients to understand</li>
<li>Possess patience to conduct frequent, and sometimes somewhat repetitive, educational correspondence and/or calls with clients summarizing their application processes and answering their questions</li>
<li>High level of attention to detail, emotional intelligence, and empathy</li>
<li>Ability to deliver highly responsive and proactive client service</li>
</ul>
