<div>Are you an experienced administrator &ndash; ideally with knowledge of the Mental Health Act or a qualification in it - looking for a new challenge? If so, join All Saints Hospital as a Mental Health Act and CPA Coordinator.

As the Mental Health Act and Compliance Administrator you will work as part of the administration team at a purpose built, specialist service providing Mental Health treatment to d/Deaf men in Salford, where you will work 37.5 hours a week ensuring the department upholds a confidential and efficient service in accordance with the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended November 2007).
You will be responsible for managing and analysing Mental Health Act correspondence and documentation, this includes undertaking assessment requests, transfer of authority, consent to treatments, renewals of detention, consent to treatments and arranging hearings, tribunals and appeals.

You will also liaise with clinicians, allied professionals, service users, their families, legal representatives and official agencies, receiving and responding to enquiries and requests for information in accordance with company policy, service level agreements and statutory regulations.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to improve processes and the general flow of information so that the service can operate efficiently.

As a Mental Health Act and CPA Coordinator you will be:
<ul>
<li>Dealing with administrative tasks associated with Associate Managers appeal, renewal Hearings and Mental Health Tribunals including meeting with detained patients to explain their rights of appeal against detention under the MHA</li>
<li>Attending Associate Hospital Managers Hearings and support Mental Health Tribunals</li>
<li>Dealing with the administration of Consent to Treatment Regulations.
</li><li>Assisting in the administrative tasks associated with Care Quality Commission visits and reports</li>
<li>Responsible for staff induction and for professional development as identified in appraisals</li>
<li>Co-ordinating the accurate and timely completion and processing of section papers and associated documentation ensuring the relevant information, signatories and permissions are obtained and recorded in accordance with the requirements of the MHA and code of practice</li>
<li>Ensuring that all information and documentation is correctly processed in line with policies and procedures in order that regulatory and statutory requirements are met</li>
<li>Maintain the audit trail ensuring up-to-date and accurate information can be provided or accessed as required</li>

You will be working alongside the multidisciplinary team at All Saints Hospital, providing care for people who are d/Deaf or have complex communication needs. It is a culturally sensitive service which has been created to provide support and rehabilitation with care and intervention from both deaf and hearing members of staff.
 All Saints Hospital which is a specialist Mental Health service which has self-contained flats for deaf men over 18 years old, which helps them move along their care pathway to more independent living.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:
<ul>
<li>4 GCSEs or equivalent (including English)</li>
<li>Word Processing qualification is desirable</li>
<li>MHA Administration qualification or equivalent is desirable</li>
<li>Computer literate (Microsoft Office preferred)</li>
<li>Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended November 2007) and associated legislation</li>
<li>Experience of Medical Records administration in a mental health setting is desirable</li>
<li>Experience of administration/office systems</li>

As you plan and implement activities around their interests, this should also have a strong emphasis on their individual needs to support the treatment plans.

Working alongside the multidisciplinary team, you will develop links with community-based resources to support service users to engage in local activities.

<li>Observing general behaviour, ability, and response of service users and report back regularly using verbal and written communications to appropriate team members.</li>
<li>Under supervision documenting observations and progress in the service user's clinical notes.</li>
<li>Fulfilling the security requirements of the service and adhere to service policies, guidelines, and procedures.</li>
<li>Completing basic risk assessment on a day to day basis to individuals and groups of service users</li>
Ensuring that health and safety, welfare and security standards for service users, staff and their visitors are adhered to.

Middlewood Clinic provide care and treatment for men and women who have an eating disorder including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and atypical Eating Disorders. Our approach will be to restore a healthy body weight and address psychological problems during treatment.
The Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) at Middlewood Clinic will be made up of the Registered Manager, Consultant Psychiatrist, Nurses, Healthcare Workers, Psychologist, Dietician, Occupational Therapist and Social Worker.

The hospital will have 12 comfortable ensuite bedrooms and a variety of communal and recreational spaces including lounge areas, a light and airy dining room, activities room, visitors room, therapy rooms, therapy kitchen area and a lovely cottage style garden.
