Job Summary:
The Transportation Driver at Emerald Nursing and Rehab Lancaster is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting residents to and from appointments, activities, and other destinations as required. This role ensures that
residents receive timely, reliable transportation while maintaining the highest standards of safety and comfort.
Work Environment:
Role involves working both indoors and outdoors, including handling vehicle-related tasks and interacting with residents in various settings.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Resident Transport: Safely transport residents to medical appointments, therapy sessions, social activities, and other destinations as scheduled.</li><li>
Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance on transportation vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Report any issues to the maintenance department. &bull; Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws and facility policies regarding vehicle safety and resident transportation.</li><li>
Assistance and Support: Provide assistance to residents entering and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the journey.</li><li>
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of transportation schedules, mileage, and any incidents or observations during trips.</li><li>
Communication: Coordinate with facility staff, family members, and external providers to ensure effective and timely transportation arrangements.</li><li>
Emergency Response: Be prepared to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently, including coordinating with emergency services if needed.</li><li>
Customer Service: Exhibit professionalism and empathy while interacting with residents, family members, and facility staff. Address any concerns or special requests with a positive attitude.</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Valid Driver&rsquo;s License: Must possess a valid Nebraska driver&rsquo;s license with a clean driving record.</li><li>
Experience: Previous experience in a driving or transportation role preferred, particularly within a healthcare or senior care environment.</li><li>
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and assist residents as needed and to handle physical tasks related to vehicle operation and maintenance.</li></ul></div>

Job Summary:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Emerald Nursing &amp; Rehab Lancaster, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our residents. Your primary responsibilities will include assessing patient needs, provide direct nursing care, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes for our residents. You will work in a supportive and dynamic environment where your skills and dedication contribute significantly to the well-being of our residents.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in a skilled nursing facility with potential exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous materials. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, wound care, and treatments as prescribed by the physician.</li><li>
Monitoring and Assessment: Monitor residents&rsquo; vital signs, document their progress, and report any significant changes to the Charge Nurse or Director of Nursing.</li><li>
Care Planning: Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet each resident&rsquo;s needs.</li><li>
Communication: Maintain clear and accurate documentation of patient care, communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team.</li><li>
Compliance: Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including infection control and safety protocols.</li><li>
Support: Provide emotional support and education to residents and their families, helping them understand care plans and health conditions.</li><li>
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including RNs, CNAs, physicians, and therapists, to deliver coordinated and comprehensive care.</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Licensure: Valid LPN/LVN license in Nebraska or multi-state</li><li>
Education: Graduation from an accredited LPN/LVN program.</li><li>
Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred. &bull; Certifications: Current CPR/BLS certification required. Additional certifications may be required based on state regulations.</li><li>
Communications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals and build positive relationships with residents and their families.</li><li>
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move patients, perform physical assessments, and stand for extended periods.</li></ul>
