WHAT YOU&rsquo;LL DOAccounting Solutions of Idaho (ASI) is seeking a Client Tax Specialist responsible for delivering exceptional service while supporting clients primarily through business tax preparation and in-depth bookkeeping to provide comprehensive accounting support.This role is heavily focused on preparing business tax returns and working through bookkeeping clean-up and financial organization to ensure accurate and complete filings. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with incomplete or complex records and can bring structure and clarity to client financials.We are a full-service firm supporting small businesses and individuals, and we pride ourselves on building strong, long-term client relationships. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, client-focused, proactive, and team-oriented, with a willingness to step in and support others as needed. Other responsibilities aligned with this role but are not limited to:<ul><li>Prepare and review individual and business tax returns (including 1040s with Schedule C/E, S Corps, and Partnerships)</li><li>Perform bookkeeping clean-up and reconciliation work to ensure accurate financials for tax preparation</li><li>Work directly with clients to gather documentation and clarify financial activity</li><li>Generate and interpret financial reports to support tax filings and client needs</li><li>Review and correct client financial records, identifying discrepancies and missing information</li><li>Communicate with clients in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness</li><li>Collaborate with Client Bookkeeping Specialists and Client Payroll Specialists to ensure complete and accurate financial data</li><li>Maintain clear, organized, and transparent work so team members can easily step in and support when needed</li><li>Research and apply tax regulations to complex client situations</li><li>Identify opportunities to better support clients through improved processes, insights, or efficiencies</li><li>Complete all work with accuracy, analytical focus, and a strong sense of ownership</li><li>Maintain clear, organized, and transparent work so team members can easily step in and support when needed</li><li>Uphold high standards of reliability, organization, and accountability</li></ul>WHAT YOU&rsquo;LL BRINGThe successful candidate will be someone who is comfortable working with complex or incomplete financial data and can bring organization and accuracy to client records. They will be detail-oriented, proactive, and confident in both tax preparation and accounting fundamentals. Qualifications include:<ul><li>Must have high school diploma or GED; higher education in related field is highly desired.</li><li>Must have 2+ years of experience in business tax preparation and bookkeeping.</li><li>Must have a solid understanding of accounting principles and how financials tie to tax returns.</li><li>Must have experience reviewing and correcting bookkeeping or performing clean-up work.</li><li>Must be comfortable working with multiple clients and managing competing deadlines, especially during tax season.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to learn and work across multiple software platforms; experience with tools such as QuickBooks, ProSeries, Karbon, Truss, and Microsoft Outlook/SharePoint is preferred.</li><li>Must have demonstrated clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to clients in an understandable way.</li><li>Must have demonstrated the ability to work independently while also staying engaged with a remote team.</li><li>Must have excellent organizational and time management skills, with proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.</li><li>Must have a high attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Must be eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.</li></ul>WHAT WE OFFERWe&rsquo;re a collaborative, team-oriented group that takes pride in doing things right.
