<div>We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Job Cost Analyst to join our team. As a Job Cost Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing project costs, monitoring budget performance, and providing financial insights to support project management decisions.
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Perform detailed analysis of project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and overhead expenses.
</li><li>Monitor and review project budgets and compare actual costs against budgeted amounts.
</li><li>Identify cost variances, investigate discrepancies, and provide explanations for budget deviations.
</li><li>Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to review project financials and discuss potential cost-saving opportunities.
</li><li>Prepare and distribute timely and accurate project cost reports, forecasts, and financial analyses to management and project teams.
</li><li>Assist in the development of project budgets and cost estimates for new and ongoing projects.
</li><li>Maintain accurate records of project costs, change orders, and contract modifications.
</li><li>Conduct regular audits of project documentation to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
</li><li>Support month-end and year-end financial close processes by reconciling project costs and performing related journal entries.
</li><li>Assist in the development and improvement of cost tracking systems, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
</li></ul>Requirements:
<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
</li><li>2+ years of experience in job cost analysis or a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
</li><li>Strong understanding of construction project accounting, cost control, and financial management principles.
</li><li>Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
</li><li>Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends or patterns.
</li><li>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
</li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
</li><li>Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
</li><li>Knowledge of construction accounting systems, such as Viewpoint or similar software, is preferred.
