Sr. Engineer &ndash; Direct Purchase (Direct Material &amp; Vendor Development)Industry: Automotive / Tractor Parts (Axles, Shafts, Spindles, Yokes)Location: Baddi, Himachal PradeshQualification: B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical (Male)Experience : 6+ YearsJob Description:<ul><li>Responsible for Direct Material Purchasing of machined and forged components (axles, shafts, spindles, yokes, etc.)</li><li>Handle Vendor Development for new components &ndash; supplier identification, capability assessment &amp; approval</li><li>Release RFQs for direct materials &amp; obtain competitive quotations</li><li>Conduct costing, cost comparisons &amp; price negotiations with suppliers</li><li>Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, machined parts &amp; outsourced components</li><li>Coordinate with Production, Quality &amp; Engineering for new part development, PPAP, APQP &amp; trials</li><li>Monitor vendor performance &ndash; quality, delivery, cost &amp; capacity</li><li>Work on cost reduction projects (VA/VE, localization, alternative suppliers)</li><li>Prepare &amp; maintain purchase-related MIS reports</li><li>Ensure adherence to company quality and procurement standards</li></ul>Key Skillset Required:<ul><li>Strong knowledge of machining, forging, fabrication &amp; vendor processes</li><li>Understanding of drawings, GD&amp;T, process flow, BOM &amp; material grades</li><li>Hands-on experience in APQP, PPAP, supplier audits &amp; new part development</li><li>Knowledge of costing for machining, forgings, castings &amp; assemblies</li><li>Good negotiation &amp; supplier relationship-management skills</li><li>Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot Table, Formulas)</li><li>Strong communication skills</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: &#8377;45,000.00 - &#8377;55,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Cell phone reimbursement</li><li>Commuter assistance</li><li>Food provided</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Leave encashment</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Ability to commute/relocate:<ul><li>Baddi, Himachal Pradesh: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>7years: 5 years (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
