Role Summary 
We&rsquo;re seeking an experienced Landlord&ndash;Tenant Paralegal to handle court-related work for non-payment cases and related filings, primarily in Pennsylvania Magisterial District Courts (MDJ). You&rsquo;ll keep our docket moving&mdash;from notice to judgment to possession&mdash;attending MDJ hearings as our authorized company representative/agent and maintaining rock-solid paperwork and timelines. 
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Prepare, file, and track landlord&ndash;tenant complaints, notices, affidavits, and post-judgment documents (writs, possession).</li><li>
Coordinate service of process; maintain a precise MDJ hearing calendar and appearance schedule.</li><li>
Appear in MDJ as Empire&rsquo;s authorized representative/agent; present facts, exhibits, and requested relief.</li><li>
Monitor statutory timelines (judgment, writ, possession, lockout) and escalate matters promptly.</li><li>
Keep forms, templates, and workflows aligned with PA rules and local practices; update for rule changes.</li><li>
Communicate with property managers and outside counsel (as needed for appeals).</li></ul>
Engagement &amp; Compensation<ul><li>
Retainer arrangement (monthly baseline covering filings and appearances)</li><li>
On-site court appearances required; prep/admin is remote</li><li>
Typical schedule aligns with MDJ calendars; occasional short-notice appearances may occur.</li></ul>
Compliance Note 
This role appears at MDJ as Empire&rsquo;s employee/authorized agent. Appeals to the Court of Common Pleas or matters requiring legal representation are coordinated with a licensed attorney.
Requirements:

 Qualifications<ul><li>
1&ndash;3+ years focused on landlord&ndash;tenant or collections; MDJ experience strongly preferred.</li><li>
Comfortable speaking in court; organized and confident managing a high-volume docket.</li><li>
Familiarity with MDJ e-filing and practices in Lehigh and Northampton Counties.</li><li>
Paralegal certificate or ABA-approved paralegal program preferred.</li><li>
Strong written documentation, attention to detail, and follow-through.</li></ul></div>
