Hours: Approx. 10&ndash;15 hours per week (including ~5 hours dedicated to social media)
Position Overview
We&rsquo;re looking for a reliable, detail-driven Marketing Assistant to support our marketing department with administrative tasks and special projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives behind the scenes&mdash;organizing, updating, scheduling, and keeping things moving so the team can focus on strategy and growth.
If you love clean systems, organized folders, polished captions, and crossing things off a list, you&rsquo;ll fit right in.
This is a 1099 contractor position with flexible hours and project-based accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Support the marketing department with administrative tasks and special projects, including but not limited to:
Website Updates<ul><li>
Make routine updates to existing website content (text edits, image swaps, page updates)</li><li>
Ensure formatting consistency and quality control</li><li>
Coordinate revisions as directed by the marketing team</li></ul>
Social Media Support (Approx. 5 Hours/Week)<ul><li>
Draft social media captions aligned with brand voice</li><li>
Schedule posts across platforms</li><li>
Monitor and respond to engagement (comments, DMs) as directed</li></ul>
Organization &amp; Asset Management in Canva and Tagbox<ul><li>
Upload and organize photos</li><li>
Upload, organize, and tag assets in Tagbox</li><li>
Restructure and clean up Canva folders</li><li>
Finalize and organize document folders</li><li>
Maintain brand asset consistency</li></ul>
Email &amp; Reputation Management<ul><li>
Update email template content as needed</li><li>
Respond to Google Business reviews (using approved messaging guidelines)</li></ul>
General Marketing Support<ul><li>
Assist with special projects as assigned</li><li>
Perform additional administrative marketing tasks as needed</li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>
1&ndash;3 years of experience in marketing support, communications, or administrative roles</li><li>
Strong written communication skills</li><li>
Experience with social media scheduling tools</li><li>
Familiarity with Canva</li><li>
Comfortable making website edits (WordPress or similar CMS preferred)</li><li>
Highly organized with strong attention to detail</li><li>
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines</li><li>
Comfortable receiving direction and implementing feedback quickly</li></ul>
