About the Role

Employee Navigator is looking for an experienced Benefits Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of experience working at an insurance agency, with a strong background in employee benefits and group insurance. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our brokers and carriers, and internal product team to ensure high-quality outcomes and an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate is currently working for a group insurance broker managing sold accounts for customers, including supporting the renewals, troubleshooting and ongoing client support for customers who have 50-500 employees. 


Here's What You'll Do Day to Day:
<ul>
<li>Support product team with broker and carrier outreach as well as analysis.</li>
<li>Provide advanced analytical and technical support to clients and the software development team, leveraging your expertise to drive strategic decisions.</li>
<li>Identify trends and customer pain points with Employee Navigator's software through proactive outreach to customers and analysis of customer support data.</li>
<li>Analyze plan and enrollment data to uncover issues and validate findings.</li>
<li>Communicate with carriers to clarify rules and gather necessary data for software development.</li>
<li>Conduct industry research to identify emerging trends and their implications for companies, benefit plans and brokers.</li>
<li>Provide subject matter expertise on benefits-related questions for Product Managers and cross-functional projects.</li></ul> 


Here's What You'll Need:
<ul>
<li>Minimum 5 years of experience working at an insurance agency, with strong group benefits knowledge.</li>
<li>Excellent analytical skills including gathering and evaluating data.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of medical plans, self-insured plans, ancillary lines &amp; other fringe benefits.</li>
<li>Life &amp; Health license.</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree preferred.</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills and highly organized.</li>
<li>Experience with customer benefits administration, renewal, billing audits, eligibility management, etc.</li>
<li>Professional Designations such as RHU, REBC, CEBS a plus.</li></ul></div>
