 Assembly Mechanics
 
 are assigned to one of the following areas:

 Pneumatic Shop
 </li>

 Hydraulic Shop
 </li>
 <li>
 Hose Shop
 </li>
 <li>
 Power Unit Shop
 </li>
 <li>
 Strut Shop
 </li>
 <li>
 Panel Shop
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 Specific responsibilities:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Assemble, test and service customized mechanical, hydraulic, electro-mechanical/hydraulic or electrical components
 </li>
 <li>
 Read and follow engineering drawings, Bills of Material, and technical specifications
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage workflow to maintain accordance with customer-required dates
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform general mechanical tasks, including basic welding, torch, grinding, painting, etc
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain records as required (assembly routers, quality, dimensional checks, testing, etc.)
 </li>
 <li>
 Properly control, store, maintain, and secure assets (inventory, tools, machinery consumables, etc.)
 </li>
 <li>
 Fabricate and install high-pressure tubing using standard fittings
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain the cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of the shop area
 </li>
 <li>
 Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment within the establishment such as test stands, saws, and paint booth
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems
 </li>
 <li>
 Disassemble machinery and repair or replace broken parts
 </li>
 <li>
 Dismantle, test, and analyze malfunctioning equipment, hand tools, and power tools to locate defects
 </li>
 <li>
 Clean and lubricate parts
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor the functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards/problems and the potential need for adjustments, repairs, or replacement
 </li>
 <li>
 Support and participate in the organization's continual improvement program to conform to ISO 9001 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives
 </li>
 <li>
 Other duties as assigned
 
 
 </li>

 Requirements
 
 
 
 Education and Training
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 High school diploma or G.E.D
 </li>
 <li>
 Forklift license preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Journeyman skilled craft training/apprenticeship certificate or combination of technical education and experience preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Fluid Power Society Certification for mechanic or technician preferred
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 Experience:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Three to five (3-5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment
 </li>
 <li>
 Welding and spray booth painting experience (Military specifications and/or ABS standards preferred)
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment a plus
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 Skills Preferred:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Knowledge of electrical processes and procedures
 </li>
 <li>
 Assembling, testing, and servicing hydraulic components
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to implement mechanical knowledge and skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to read, write, and use general math applications in order to read schematics
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and basic electrical circuits
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to read, interpret and follow mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic control systems schematics/blueprints
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to use measuring instruments (i.e. torque wrenches, calipers, squares, scales, pressure and torque gauges, vibration sensing devices, temperature indicators, and measuring tape) to ensure components/systems are within required tolerance and specifications
 </li>
 <li>
 Full understanding of imperial and metric measuring systems
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of PLCs (for trouble shooting and diagnostics) preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of OSHA safety procedures and policies preferred
 
 
 </li>
