Responsibilities:<div></div><p><br>
DIGIT is looking for a Netscaler SME to support the design, implementation, monitoring, management, change management, software upgrades, problem/incident resolution, and root cause analysis of network circuits and devices as part of a large technology refresh initiative. The Netscaler SME shall focus on implementation and coordination of wired and wireless network equipment across hundreds of sites across the globe, remotely coordinating the work. Additionally the Netscaler SME may be required to perform Level / Tier 2+ Network Architecting and Administration of applicable networks to include Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), and Data Centers assigned by GSA.</p><div>

Responsibilities:</b></p><p>
This position shall perform the following (to include but not limited to) activities:</p><ul><li>
Oversee and implement switch provisioning (configuration) and implementation across multiple sites, including coordinating cutover logistics and change management.</li><li>
Engineering Netscaler to support hosting the most mission-critical systems within GSA and support all end-user Wi-Fi authentication.</li><li>
Establish network monitoring for newly installed and replaced equipment.</li><li>
Support and operate Software-Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN) sites</li><li>
Support and maintain network equipment and configuration (routers and routing).</li><li>
Manage the LAN/WAN routing protocol between the routers and perform port management, network capacity management (including planning and trending).</li><li>
Manage WLAN infrastructures to include access points (WAPs), wireless LAN controllers, and integrations into Software Defined Access (SDA) infrastructures.</li><li>
Utilize and implement network orchestration tools and techniques to facilitate automated and consistent configurations, management, testing, deployment, and operations of physical and virtual devices within the network.</li><li>
Manage status, errors, and inbound and outbound traffic statistics of all routing interfaces, bandwidth utilization, and errors of all inbound and outbound LAN/WAN circuits.</li></ul><div></div><ul><li><div><br>

Escalate issues to vendor and third-party entities, as necessary and directed by the Government.</li><li>
Generates / updates network documentation in coordination with the onsite installation resources.</li><li>

Public Trust Clearance and ITILv4 Foundation Certification by start date.</li><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or equivalent and 4 - 9 years of related experience.</li><li>
5 - 7 years of experience configuring the following protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and Static routes.</li><li>
Experience as a Netscaler SME.</li><li>
Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments.</li><li>
Previous hands-on experience with the appliances VPX and SDX.</li><li>
Previous experience with Traffic Management: Proficiency in configuring Load Balancing (LB), Content Switching (CS), and Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB) for multi-site redundancy. Building SSL profiles and policies.</li><li>
Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.</li><li>
Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.</li><li>
Previous experience engineering and supporting a NetScaler solution in a large enterprise environment.</li><li>
Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns.</li><li>
Perform systems management and integration functions</li><li>
Proven ability to work independently in a full and/or partial remote environment with limited supervision and may supervise/lead others.</li><li>
Possess the ability to communicate in both oral and written forms, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff as well as clients.</li><li>
Maintain standard working hours per the DIGIT contract and to be available for meetings, and other collaborative efforts during working hours.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments with the ability to use practical experience and training to determine how to accomplish tasks.</li></ul><p><b>

The <b>Deputy Program Manager and Chief Engineer (DPM-CHENG)</b> provides enterprise-level operational design and management of hybrid operations for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) information technology (IT) infrastructure. USCIS has over 27,000 Government employees and contractors working at over 250 offices worldwide.</p><p></p><p><br>
The USCIS Enterprise Infrastructure Division (EID) of the Office of Information Technology (OIT) provides IT infrastructure engineering, design, testing, implementation and operational support services for all USCIS enterprise components, to include networks, server rooms, data storage, telecommunications, video conferencing services and infrastructure security. The <b>DPM-CHENG </b>directly supports EID to coordinate, direct, manage, and oversee the design, development, integration, standards, operation and maintenance of infrastructure operations of the enterprise IT infrastructure that supports USICS operations.</p><p></p><p><br>
The <b>DPM-CHENG</b> shall oversee design, development and execution of innovative solutions and operations of the USCIS IT infrastructure.
