The Equipment Operator uses various heavy machinery to load, unload, and transport scrap metal materials within the yard. Equipment includes forklifts, front-end loaders, material handlers, and excavators. Promote a safe, secure and healthy work environment while keeping equipment clean and well maintained.
 
What You'll Be Doing: 
<ul>
<li>Safely operate heavy equipment including Fuchs Material Handler, forklift and more</li>
<li>Perform daily maintenance and inspections on equipment such as lubricating, fueling</li>
<li>Complete daily inspection reports</li>
<li>Equipment and site cleanup</li>
<li>Power wash equipment as needed</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned</li>
</ul>
Skills you have: 
<ul>
<li>High level of customer service to the people we serve</li>
<li>Excellent attention to safety</li>
<li>Understanding of mechanics involving trucks and trailers</li>
</ul>
Education & Experience: 
<ul>
<li>Previous heavy equipment experience preferred</li>
<li>Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds</li>
<li>High School Diploma/GED</li>
</ul>
Scheduling: 
<ul>
<li>This role typically is scheduled Monday-Friday 7:30AM-5PM and Saturday from 8AM-12PM; scheduling may change based on needs of business but is full time, year round!</li>
