<div>Encore Village of Schaumburg is currently hiring for part time Servers. This position will interact with our residents/guests in Independent Living. The Server will be responsible for positive resident/guest interactions while serving residents/guests in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, Servers are expected to be attentive to our residents/guests' needs and making them welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed.

Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Performing a variety of services in the Dining Room including waiting on assigned tables, taking orders, setting and busing tables.</li>
<li>Assuring that all shift duties are thoroughly completed before the close of each shift.</li>
<li>Set up and clean up of special functions.</li>
<li>Understanding - before each meal period - every menu item and special, well enough to answer diners' questions.</li>
<li>Properly greeting all residents and guests.</li>
<li>Adherence to all sanitation and food handling protocols.</li>
<li>Adherence to all safety policies and procedures of Encore Village and regulatory authorities.</li>
<li>Maintenance of confidentiality of all pertinent resident information to assure residents' rights and employee confidentiality are protected.</li>
<li>Proper personal appearance and hygiene according to established procdures.</li>
<li>Attendance and participation in in-service training programs.</li>
<li>Reporting of all hazardous conditions or equipment.</li>
<li>Preparation of routine set-up of dining room for next day and/or special holidays.</li>
<li>Maintain quality level of service.</li>
<li>Good communication skills; must be able to demonstrate effective reading, writing and speaking.</li>
</ul>
Education:
<ul>
<li>High School diploma or equivalent preferred.</li>
</ul>
