<p><b>Job Title: Accountant / Bookkeeper (Hospitality &amp; Development Businesses)</b></p><p><b>Location:</b> Dubai, UAE (with responsibility for UK &amp; UAE entities)<br/><b>Employment Type:</b> Part-time / Flexible (with potential to scale)</p><p><b>About the Role</b></p><p>We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially aware Accountant / Bookkeeper to support our growing businesses across the UK and UAE. This role is heavily focused on day-to-day bookkeeping, financial organisation, and weekly reporting, particularly within a fast-paced hospitality environment.</p><p>You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing project-based spreadsheets, and providing clear weekly insights to support decision-making.</p><p><b>Business Overview</b></p><p>You will be working across two entities:</p><ul><li><b>Development Company (UK-based only)</b> &ndash; project-based financial tracking and reporting</li><li><b>Hospitality Company (UK &amp; UAE)</b> &ndash; day-to-day bookkeeping, reporting, and performance tracking</li></ul><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><p><b>Bookkeeping &amp; Financial Management</b></p><ul><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records across all entities</li><li>Manage accounts payable and receivable</li><li>Reconcile bank accounts, payment platforms, and supplier statements</li><li>Track and categorise expenses across multiple cost centres</li></ul><p><b>Weekly Reporting &amp; Insights</b></p><ul><li>Produce clear weekly financial reports for the hospitality business (sales, costs, margins, cash flow)</li><li>Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost control</li><li>Support budgeting and forecasting processes</li></ul><p><b>Spreadsheets &amp; Project Tracking</b></p><ul><li>Build and manage detailed spreadsheets for:</li><li>New store openings / projects</li><li>Supplier cost tracking</li><li>Operational performance</li><li>Work closely with founders to translate numbers into actionable insights</li></ul><p><b>Multi-Entity &amp; Multi-Currency Oversight</b></p><ul><li>Manage financials across UK and UAE entities</li><li>Handle multi-currency transactions and reporting</li><li>Ensure clear separation and accuracy between businesses</li></ul><p><b>Compliance &amp; Support</b></p><ul><li>Assist with VAT tracking (UK &amp; UAE where applicable)</li><li>Prepare records for external accountants / auditors</li><li>Ensure financial processes are organised and scalable</li></ul><p><b>Requirements</b></p><ul><li>Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting (hospitality experience strongly preferred)</li><li>Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills (this is critical)</li><li>Experience managing multi-entity or multi-country accounts</li><li>Familiarity with UK accounting practices; UAE knowledge is a plus</li><li>Highly organised with strong attention to detail</li><li>Commercially minded &mdash; able to interpret numbers, not just record them</li></ul><p><b>Working Style</b></p><ul><li>Flexible working structure (approx. 2&ndash;4 days per week depending on workload)</li><li>Must be responsive and able to adapt to business needs</li><li>Comfortable working closely with founders in a fast-moving environment</li></ul><p><b>What We&rsquo;re Looking For</b></p><p>This is not a purely &ldquo;data entry&rdquo; bookkeeping role. The Opportunity:</b></div><div>
This position will perform intermediate work at renewable energy projects including solar PV and energy storage power plants as assigned and qualified independently maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting AC and DC circuits ranging from medium voltage 34.5kV to 12VDC. The equipment that this position will maintain includes station service electrical equipment such as motors and motor controls, electrical switchgear, transformers, inverters, solar PV panels, panel tracking mechanisms, BESS systems, electrical protective devices, main and auxiliary generators, lighting, power supplies, HVAC systems security systems and battery support systems. This position will be responsible for troubleshooting and overhauling such equipment and perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities for the aforementioned equipment.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
What You'll Do at Enel North America:</b></div><ul><li>Independently test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a range of moderately complex issues with solar or BESS equipment.</li><li>Replace solar PV power plant related electrical equipment with some autonomy.</li><li>Testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and replacing battery energy storage power plant related electrical equipment.</li><li>Perform plant related preventative, reactive, and predictive maintenance scheduled by the Site Manager and/or Lead Technician.</li><li>Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and safe maintenance activities.</li><li>Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, such as first aid, fall arrest, electrical safety training, while working with electrical equipment.</li><li>Proficiently read and interpret electrical schematics, equipment manuals and standard operating procedures</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation of services and maintenance performed as needed.</li><li>Apply reliability-based maintenance processes and work towards certifications such as CMRT/CMRP.</li><li>Gain technical information from reading electrical schematics, vendor information, and applicable codes.</li><li>Respond to and resolve unplanned time-sensitive equipment and site repair activities.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Who You Are &amp; What You&rsquo;ve Accomplished:</b></div><ul><li>Technical School preferred, High School or equivalent required. or equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>2-4 years of relevant experience.</li><li>Electrical experience preferred, but not required.</li><li>TX Electricians License or related certification</li><li>Ability to proficiently use electrical testing equipment such as, Digital Multimeters, Amp Clamps, and Insulation Testers.</li><li>Reads and interpret electrical plan sets, equipment manuals and standard operating procedures with increasing understanding.</li><li>Comfortable with computer programs (e.g. Microsoft office) and ability to learn other internal applications.</li><li>Applies LOTO principles with independence.</li><li>Proactively uses required Personal Protective Equipment consistently in accordance with safety guidelines.</li><li>Prepares Job Safety Analysis and performs Safety Observations.</li><li>Willingness to work outside of regular work hours if required</li><li>Ability and willingness to travel for training and/or site support as needed</li><li>Availability of a safe and reliable transportation to and from the Job site and a residence within a 1 hour drive of assigned Plant location.</li><li>Ability and willingness to occasionally safely lift up to 50 lbs. (assisted when needed).</li><li>Safely use unpowered and powered hand tools.</li><li>A valid driver&rsquo;s license operable in all 50 states and a clean driving record. A clean driving records means:</li></ul><div>
o In the last 3 years, no driving-related suspension, revocation or cancellation, no disqualifying offenses, no more than 2 moving violations and no reckless driving incidents.</div><div>
o In the last 5 years, no major driving offenses including DUI/DWI, refusal to test, leaving the scene, driving a commercial vehicle without a CDL, or at-fault fatal accident.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
