Position for Middle East / North Africa remote locations. 
Mission:
We are seeking a seasoned and passionate VP of Sales to build and lead our sales efforts in MENA (Middle East and North Africa). This is a strategic market for EnerVenue and this role will be a major market priority for the company&rsquo;s growth plans. You will be the architect of our Sales strategy and go to market campaign in MENA as we grow our team and market share. You will be responsible for identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, developing and executing strategies to expand the company&rsquo;s market presence, establish and maintaining strong-partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders. As the first sales resource you will be responsible for identifying opportunities, running the sales cycle, negotiating contracts, identifying partnership opportunities, participating in conferences and closing deals. Serving customers, deploying our technology and scaling the business only happens with experienced sales and development professionals. 
Position Targets / Outcomes:<ul><li>
Build the Sales Pipeline: Identify and qualify new sales opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound lead follow-up, and networking. Managing weekly reports and documentation in Salesforce.com.</li><li>
Customer focus: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders to understand their business and their need for EnerVenue&rsquo;s offerings.</li><li>
Execute on Sales Strategy: Executing on go to market Sales Strategy with discipline, focus and collaboration with customers.</li><li>
Negotiate contracts: Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close complex contracts with sophisticated counter-parties.</li><li>
Performance-based: Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets</li><li>
Collaborate across organization: Serving customers from lead generation to commissioning of our product requires collaboration with Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing, and Deployments teams to ensure customer satisfaction.</li><li>
Industry expertise: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions</li></ul> 
Requirements:
Likely spent the first years at a world-renowned company that is in the clean energy ecosystem (e.g., Independent Power Producer, Integrator, EPC, developer or utility at
company in the Middle East). They then spent the next 5 years at a start-up developing renewable energy, energy storage or other clean energy technologies with customers that include utilities, commercial and industrial accounts.<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (BA/BS) in Business, Engineering or related discipline is required. A Master&rsquo;s in Business Administration or additional technical credentials is strongly desired.</li><li>
Expertise in Middle Eastern (Saudi Arabia, UAE, etc.) electricity markets is required; applicants should have 5 years of demonstrated customer-facing sales experience in these markets.</li><li>
10+ years of progressive experience in Sales with demonstrated track record of closing complex sales cycles, in an early-stage company is desired. Experience managing P&amp;L and working to achieve ambitious goals is highly desirable.</li><li>
Proven experience in the electric industry &ndash; such as renewables, battery, energy storage, automotive, or aerospace industries &ndash; where product failure is not an option and product lifecycles are measured in decades.</li></ul>
