About the Role</p><p>
We are looking for a <b>Staff Engineer</b> with deep expertise in <b>simulation, optimization, and AI-driven forecasting</b> to lead the development of advanced simulation frameworks and products for <b>Home Energy Management Systems (HEMS)</b>. This role is central to our mission of enabling intelligent, cost-effective, and sustainable energy use in residential homes.</p><p>
You will design and implement scalable simulation models that integrate <b>photovoltaics (PV), battery storage, HVAC, heat pumps, EVSE, and other residential energy assets</b>, and couple them with <b>optimization solvers</b> and <b>machine learning-based forecasting algorithms</b><b> </b>to optimize energy bills of a homeowner. Your work will directly support product innovation, cost-benefit analysis, and strategic decision-making.</p><p>
Key Responsibilities:</p><div>
&#61692; Architect and implement simulation frameworks that can scale to millions of homes through modelling:
</div><ul><li>PV systems, battery storage, HVAC, heat pumps, water heaters, EVSE, and grid interactions.</li></ul><div>
&#61692; Ensure scalability, modularity, and maintainability of simulation tools and its data pipeline.
&#61692;</div><div> Conduct <b>what-if analyses</b> to evaluate the impact of different configurations (e.g., adding a second battery or changing tariff structures) on home-owner bill.
&#61692;</div><div> Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and software engineers to translate simulation insights into product features.
&#61692;</div><div> Contribute to technical strategy, mentor junior engineers, and lead cross-functional initiatives.</div><div>

Key Qualifications:</p><p>
&#61692; Bachelor&rsquo;s or master&rsquo;s degree in <b>E</b><b>lectrical </b><b>E</b><b>ngineering</b>, <b>Mechanical Engineering</b>, <b>Energy Systems</b>, <b>Computer Science</b>, or a related field.</p><p>
&#61692; 7+ years of experience in <b>energy systems modeling</b>, <b>simulation</b>, or <b>optimization</b>.</p><p>
&#61692; Strong experience with:
</p><ul><li>Modeling of residential energy devices (PV, battery, HVAC, EVSE, etc.)</li><li>
Hands on experience of modelling simulation tools for home energy management</li><li>
Formulating and solving <b>Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP)</b> problems.</li></ul><ul><li>
Proficiency in <b>Python</b> and relevant libraries (e.g., Pyomo, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).</li><li>
Experience with simulation tools such as <b>Energy Plus</b><b> or any other </b><b>open-source</b><b> tools</b></li><li>
Proven ability to design and deliver <b>scalable, production-grade software</b>.</li></ul></div><p></p>

This role at Enphase requires working onsite <b>3 days a week</b>, with plans to transition back to a full 5 day in office schedule over time.</div></div><p><b>
What you will be doing</b></p><ul><li>
Responsible for order creation, order fulfilment, and channel inventory management for global customers</li><li>
Solve customer escalations and issues with new order requests and existing backlog</li><li>
Customer centric focus. Responsible for NPS and actions to drive better customer experience</li><li>
Drive a process-centric execution focused on aligning demand with supply</li><li>
Provide world class order management to our customers and maintain a high-quality sale support environment</li><li>
Analyze customer Sell through, Channel Inventory data and present to management weekly</li><li>
Support our customers and Enphase Sales with weekly account reviews and solve customer issues before they become critical escalations</li><li>
Provide detailed quantitative analysis in support of identifying sales opportunities to drive Enphase&rsquo;s opportunity/funnel management</li><li>
Manage customer backlog through product transitions and new product launches, and manage on-hand inventory actively based on plan of record</li><li>
Communicating and collaborating cross-functionally throughout the entire company, including sales, finance, supply planning, pricing, and PLM teams</li><li>
Work alongside brilliant, motivated, collaborative employees</li></ul><p><b>
Who you are and what you bring</b></p><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree required, and Master preferred with knowledge of sales operations, demand planning, forecasting, and supply chain, preferably in complex Solar or High-Tech industry multi-tiered channel environment</li><li>
4+ years of experience managing global customers and internal stakeholders</li><li>
Ability to manage multiple requests at the same time and effectively prioritize tasks to meet company business objectives</li><li>
Very process-focused with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and sound business judgment - comfortable with data-driven insight-seeking and decision-making</li><li>
Organized with strong work ethic, attention to details, and excellent communication skills</li><li>
Adept at balancing intense short-term pressures with overall long-term goals</li><li>
Advanced skills with Excel and data manipulation</li><li>
Should have hands on in Oracle/SAP ERP, CRM, BI systems like Tableau/PowerBI/Encorta</li><li>
Very process oriented and aware with a bias toward accuracy and precision</li><li>
Focused and driven to meet deadlines for regularly scheduled activities</li><li>
