<div><div><div><p>Busy medical practice in Chula Vista looking for a full-time Medical Scribe/Medical Assistant. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years experience in the medical field. We are looking for a confident self-starter with a strong background in medical terminology, basic anatomy, and electronic medical records. Must have strong observation and listening skills.</p>
<p><b>Medical Scribe duties include:</b></p>
<ul><li>Accurately and thoroughly document medical visits and procedures in the EHR as they are being performed by the physician</li>
<li>Must be able to anticipate physician&rsquo;s needs to facilitate the flow of the clinic</li>
<li>Good judgement, organizational ability, initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to be self-motivated are especially important when working as a Scribe</li>
<li>Assists in office procedures performed by physicians including setting up procedure equipment and/or appropriate procedure/surgical instrument tray</li>
<li>Returns patient calls and documents patient's chart accordingly</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Medical Assistant duties include:</b></p>
<ul><li>Exam room preparation and turnover</li>
<li>Bring patients back to exam room and perform intake entry such as: the History of Present Illness (HPI), chief complaint, medication lists, medication allergies and enters the information into patient's electronic medical record</li>
<li>Take vital signs</li>
<li>Sample medication oversight and compliance</li>
<li>Assists in setting up and cleaning in office procedures</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Qualifications &amp; Skills:</b></p>
<ul><li>Fluent in Spanish REQUIRED</li>
<li>Computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn new applications</li>
<li>Be able to type at least 60 WPM</li>
<li>Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology</li>
<li>OSHA &amp; HIPAA compliance/requirements</li>
<li>Clinical compliance in sterilization techniques</li>
</ul>
