As an integral member of the Custom Solutions team, the Staff Firmware Engineer will take unique customer requirements and design, implement, deliver and support embedded firmware solutions on an array of Entrust products. This individual will be required to work on multiple complex technologies, laser, printing, etc. The position will perform the responsibilities detailed below and other duties as assigned.</div><div>
Responsibilities</div><ul><li><div>
Real-time embedded system firmware design for control systems in complex machines.</div></li><li><div>
Development of requirements, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of embedded firmware components or applications.</div></li><li><div>
Developing firmware for digital, analog, power, and motion control systems.</div></li><li><div>
Participation in design and code reviews, hardware/software integration and development test.</div></li><li><div>
Understand and perform design trade-offs in a collaborative team environment.</div></li><li><div>
Provide schedule input and communicate project status to various levels of management, peers and team members.</div></li><li><div>
Knowledge of development tools and programming languages for embedded development and testing responsibilities.</div></li><li><div>
Develop or contribute to development and maintenance of policies, practices and standards.</div></li><li><div>
Continuously improve work processes to enable team efficiencies.</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
Basic Qualifications</div><ul><li><div>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.</div></li><li><div>
6+ years experience developing embedded software, hardware and/or firmware in a product development environment.</div></li><li><div>
Experience with C++ and/or C in an embedded development environment.</div></li><li><div>
Experience with unit test and integration test methodologies.</div></li><li><div>
Strong verbal and written communication skills</div></li><li><div>
Must have unrestricted work authorization for US.</div></li></ul><div>

Compensation Range:</div><br>

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $124,367-$182,405 per year (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company&rsquo;s discretionary annual incentive plan. Work on cross-functional teams creating products that matter. As a member of the Continuation Engineering group, the Mechanical Engineer II will be a key member of an engineering team responsible for designing solutions, cost reductions, and improving quality of Entrust released products. Our solutions utilize a broad range of printing technologies and use a variety of mechanical and electro-mechanical components and processes, including injection molded plastic, sheet metal, machining, rubber molding, power transmission, DC motors, lasers, and sensors.</div><div></div><div>
Responsibilities:</div><ul><li>
Develop and execute project work plans, incorporating revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.</li><li>
Use theoretical calculations and analytical methods to develop and support mechanical concepts</li><li>
Review or create part drawings, solid models and bills of material</li><li>
Provide technical input at design reviews</li><li>
Identify and complete Value Engineering / Cost Reduction activities to meet customer requests and departmental objectives.</li><li>
Minimize schedule and technical risk by foreseeing and addressing obstacles proactively and aggressively.</li><li>
Provide technical problem solving</li><li>
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities</li><li>

Basic Qualifications:</div><ul><li>
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering</li><li>
2+ years of engineering experience</li><li>
3D solid modeling experience</li><li>
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and general use of PC applications</li><li>
Able to travel up to 10% within the US and internationally.</li><li>
Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US</li></ul><div></div><div>

The Sr. Technical Product Support Specialist works with internal and external clients to answer technical inquiries and resolve escalated technical issues with Entrust&rsquo;s Bureau Solutions products. The incumbent also represents the service organization with new product development projects and will perform the accountabilities detailed below and other duties as assigned. Provides level III service support to internal and external clients globally</li><li>
Responds to inquiries and support requests from customers in a timely manner</li><li>
Works all customer problems to resolution and escalates to engineering for assistance when necessary</li><li>
Diagnoses underlying cause of customer complaints or performance issues</li><li>
Manages Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and Field Change Orders (FCO) planning and roll-out</li></ul><div></div><div>

Acts as service team representative to assigned D5 New Product Development Core Teams</li><li>

Partners with inventory control, training, technical publications, depot/repair, and regional service teams to ensure that all required service task are completed prior to product launch</li><li>

Analyze service data to quantify product and parts performance by product</li><li>
