<p><b>What you bring to the table</b><br>
The aptitude to work within our research laboratory, overseeing the design, execution, and reporting of experiments that support customer applications, product development, and production. Having the skillset to primarily focus completing projects through effective coordination and direct involvement in lab work.</p>
<p><b>
A few responsibilities you will have as Research Associate
</b></p><ul><li>Manage multiple concurrent research programs.</li>
<li>Employ impeccable aseptic technique.</li>
<li>Routinely perform various techniques such as:</li>
<li>Flow Cytometry, Standard Microbiology, Enzyme Assays, and Automation</li>
<li>Develop, optimize, and implement enzyme and microbiology assays.</li>
<li>Collaborate with team members on large-scale projects or work independently on smaller projects.</li>
<li>Document research procedures and SOP&rsquo;s.</li>
<li>Independently review literature to aid project development.</li>
<li>Directly supervise projects and equipment in R&amp;D Department.</li>
<li>Set up studies, projects, new methods, completing required analysis, and organizing data</li>
<li>Prepare summary reports and train technicians on new or revised methods</li>
<li>Setting up new equipment, validating prior to use, and reviewing controls</li>
<li>Complete and organize equipment maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and supervising calibrations</li>
</ul>
<p><b>To succeed you must have
</b></p><ul><li>Accomplished in all general lab tasks which include standard laboratory methods and procedures.</li>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Microbiology or Biology with 5 plus years' experience in a similar position, or Master's degree with 3 plus years&rsquo; experience.</li>
<li>Flow Cytometry experience preferred</li>
<li>Experience in soil bioremediation and wastewater treatment a plus</li>
<li>Strong working comprehension of Microsoft office tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as electronic lab notebooks</li>
<li>Working knowledge of Gantt charts and other tools for project management.</li>
<li>Ability to independently author reports and procedure manuals</li>
</ul>
