<div>Extensive knowledge of how to use hand tools, mechanical tools and welding tools in conjunction with mechanical test equipment in order to successfully troubleshoot and solve problems on a day to day basis.</div>
<div></div><div><b>Qualifications</b></div>
<ul><li>3 years mechanical experience including, welding, motor replacement, 480 volt 3 phase, and electric controls.</li>
<li>Must be familiar with test equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, and other types of test equipment.</li>
<li>Good driving record and driver's license.</li>

<div>To provide and maintain dynamometers, other lane systems, and build/property maintenance following set preventative maintenance schedules.</div>
<div></div><div><b>Duties and Responsibilities</b></div>
<ul><li>Perform routine diagnostics, calibration, preventive maintenance and repair of emission analyzers, dynamometers and other lane sysytems following set schedules.</li>
<li>Install, test, and calibrate equipment during contruction.</li>
<li>Mechanical repairs including welding and 480 volt-3 phase electric controls.</li>
<li>May interface with subcontractor representatives in repair and maintenance equipment.</li>
<li>May assist in maintenance and of repair of other company electrial and electronic systems such as alarms, telephone and computer peripheral systems,</li>
<li>Preform building/property routine maintenance- HVAC, air compressors, sprinkler system</li>

Mechanical Technician

<div><div>Receives specific assignments from the station manager relative to inspection position to be worked and any special instructions needed. Performs assigned tasks obtaining assistance as required for unusual or difficult problems encountered. Work is reviewed in terms of ability to complete accurate emission inspections within established time limits, follow proper test procedures, ability to deal effectively with the public, and cash collection accuracy.</div>
<div></div><div><ul><li>Serves as lead lane inspector performing emission inspection functions in all test positions.
</li><li>Assists in directing and training Lane Inspectors.</li>
<li>Follows established emission inspection procedures in testing vehicles.
</li><li>Responsible for collecting inspection fees and accounting for the proper dollar amount collected in cash and charges.
</li><li>Enters appropriate vehicle information into computer and verifies vehicle data against computer data.</li>
<li>Performs general lane operations including: tag renewals, greeting motorists as they enter the inspection station and provides general program information.</li>
<li>Operates vehicles during the emissions and evaporative system test.
</li><li>Provides test results to customers and explains the printout as necessary.</li>
<li>Instructs customers on the next step in the inspections process after test is completed.
</li><li>Collects documents from customers relative to inspection re-tests.</li>
<li>Refers questions or comments to appropriate individuals.</li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned such as janitorial, lawn maintenance, and other facility care tasks as required.</li>
<li>Assists with opening and closing the station as needed.
</li>Must be available to work 40 hours per week during station operating hours Tues- Sat 8AM<li>-6PM
</li><li>Assist other stations as needed and as assigned.</li>
</ul></div>Requirements:
<ul><li>Excellent customer service skills.</li>
<li>High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
</li><li>Previous computer and automotive experience helpful.</li>
<li>Must be 18 years of age.</li>
<li>Candidate must be in good standing with company.</li>
<li><ul><li>Must possess manual dexterity sufficient to operate computer keyboard, make electronic equipment connections
<ul><li>Ability to endure long period of standing and walking.</li>
<li>Ability to stoop, bend, twist, reach and squat and balance body weight on one or both knees.
</li><li>Ability to work in extreme hot and cold weather.</li>
<li>Ability to operate a motor vehicle, including a manual transmission and to operate testing equipment.</li>
