 The Role:
 
 
 
 As a Senior Buyer, you will work in the Purchasing Department with all aspects of procurement of materials and/or services. You will be working with a diverse team of dedicated, creative and technical forces behind the design and development of new power conversion systems. By being a part of our team, you will help us take our ideas from conception to reality.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Manage Suppliers in all aspects of Supply Chain including quality, on time delivery, scheduling, inventory management, and contract negotiation
 </li>
 <li>
 Create, process, and approve purchase orders accurately in the ERP system
 </li>
 <li>
 Prioritize and coordinate inventory items, track supplier deviations, monitor and document supplier quality issues as necessary
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor supplier and vendor compliance with contractual agreements
 </li>
 <li>
 Measure and manage the vendor and supplier cost, quality, and delivery performance
 </li>
 <li>
 Negotiate with suppliers and find ways to reduce costs without jeopardizing the quality and delivery of the components
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitors inventory position against sales forecast and customer orders to maintain acceptable safety stock levels
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage Purchasing Key Performance Indicators
 </li>
 <li>
 Resolve billing and logistical issues while communicating effectively in a professional manner
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead vendor meetings
 </li>
 <li>
 Responsible for various reporting and follow up including: Open Purchase Orders, Late Purchase Orders, Delivery Schedules, Inventory Coverage, and Supplier On Time Performance
 </li>
 <li>
 Propose continuous improvement changes and processes when required
 </li>
 <li>
 Work individually, and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform duties in accordance with policies and procedures
 </li>

 Requirements
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in the Supply Chain field or related area with a minimum of 5 - 10 years of sourcing experience
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent written and oral communication skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to read and understand BOMs and drawings
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to manage priorities and workflow
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working in a manufacturing environment
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with Electronic components and/or PCBA&rsquo;s preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of key inventory performance drivers and metrics
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in project management, lean, and continuous improvement environments strongly preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency with Excel including macros, pivot tables, and advanced formulas
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to interact with a diverse team at all organization levels

Senior Buyer

 Description
 
 
 
 The Commodity Manager&rsquo;s primary function is to ensure the health &amp; outlook of the supply chain; and support the business by creating procurement strategies and plans, based upon budgets, and coordinating project/order related materials, services, and engineering requirements with total transparency to the team. In this role, you will partner collaboratively with the engineering and operations teams to implement procurement strategies and policies, applying a structured approach. In addition, this position will support tactical execution from the selected supply chain and help maintain performance and profitability.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 You will achieve your objectives by demonstrating a clear understanding of the business structure, good communications skills, a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to multitask and coordinate with various functions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Commodity Strategies: Develop commodity strategies with a strong focus on mechanical and electrical components including analyzing and developing sourcing strategies; spend analysis and supplier strategies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Supplier Relationship Management: Includes negotiating pricing, monitoring performance to agreed terms and conditions, and supplier selection. Collaborate with key suppliers to expand knowledge and identify opportunities for improvements resulting in a joint benefit to the company and supplier. Leverage supplier expertise and/or technology to harness improvements in reducing total costs. Collaborate with procurement engineering and design engineering to find the best supplier to meet the cost, quality and design requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contractual Agreements: Develop and negotiate contractual agreements to provide price protection and supply security in consultation with legal, business, and technical functions. Execute requirements per terms of the agreements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Supplier Performance Management: Working with supplier quality, engage suppliers to provide long-term solutions to quality issues. Coordinate cross functional and business discussions to drive continuous improvement opportunities throughout the organization. Monitor quality and delivery performance of key suppliers.
 </li>
 <li>
 Risk Management: Develop supplier relationships resulting in optimized supply chain efficiencies and security of supply. Evaluate supplier's capabilities and capacities while implementing plans to ensure adequate supply of goods and services. Negotiate agreements with suppliers that mitigate or spread the overall risk.

 Requirements

 BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of mechanical and electrical components
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to interact with inter and intra departmental personnel, as well as management.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong computer skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Successful experience in negotiating with senior level managers.
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrated understanding of entire supply chain and cost drivers.
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrated data and financial analysis capability.
 </li>
 <li>
 Cross functional/organizational project management and facilitation skills (internal and external).
 </li>
 <li>
