Overview</b></div><div></div><div><br>
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (with active Professional Engineer license) to support the design, engineering, and technical oversight of solar energy projects. The position will predominantly support commercial ground-mount solar installations, with additional exposure to utility-scale, rooftop, and projects incorporating Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This is a full-time, salaried position based out of our San Jose, CA office.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Key Responsibilities</b></div><ul>
<li>Lead electrical engineering efforts throughout project lifecycle&mdash;from conceptual design through commissioning.</li>
<li>Develop and review electrical system drawings, one-line diagrams, power distribution layouts, grounding systems, and interconnection designs.</li>
<li>Perform electrical load calculations, conductor sizing, and protection device coordination.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, local permitting requirements, and renewable energy interconnection standards.</li>
<li>Stamp drawings and documents as required, serving as Engineer of Record.</li>
<li>Coordinate with development, construction, procurement, and permitting teams to support project schedules and deliverables.</li>
<li>Interface with utilities regarding interconnection applications and technical review.</li>
<li>Provide engineering support during construction including RFI responses, design adjustments, and technical problem solving.</li>
<li>Participate in value engineering efforts to optimize performance, cost, and constructability.</li>
<li>Assist with BESS integration design and power control strategies where applicable.</li><br>

<div><b>Qualifications</b></div><ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.</li>
<li>Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.</li>
<li>5+ years of electrical engineering experience within the renewable energy, commercial solar, or power generation sectors.</li>
<li>Experience with commercial ground-mount solar; exposure to utility-scale solar, rooftop systems, and/or BESS projects preferred.</li>
<li>Proficient in AutoCAD and common electrical design software.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of NEC, electrical codes, and interconnection processes.</li>
<li>Prior involvement in construction or field engineering is a plus.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.</li></ul></div><div></div>
