Position Summary:

This position works under the direction of the Controller and is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records while performing full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable duties. The ideal candidate understands the accounting processes necessary to support the preparation of financial statements, including account analysis, reconciliations, and cash application.

What you&rsquo;ll do: 

Accounts Payable-
<ul>
<li>Post and process vendor invoices accurately and timely</li>
<li>Match purchase orders and assign costs to appropriate projects</li>
<li>Code and time entries appropriately within the ERP system</li>
<li>Recommend invoices for weekly payment runs</li>
<li>Ensure invoices are paid accurately and on time</li>
<li>Reconcile AP batches and maintain accurate GL and payable detail balances</li>
<li>Maintain vendor records and relationships</li>
<li>Research and resolve vendor inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and reconciliations</li></ul> 


Accounts Receivable-
<ul>
<li>Manage assigned AR portfolio and collection strategy</li>
<li>Apply cash timely and accurately against open invoices</li>
<li>Communicate with vendors regarding payment status to ensure accurate customer billing</li>
<li>Escalate outstanding balances as appropriate</li>
<li>Research and resolve customer billing inquiries</li>
<li>Reconcile customer statements</li></ul> 


Additional Responsibilities-
<ul>
<li>Assist with preparation for annual audit</li>
<li>Cross-train with accounting and operations team members</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul> 


What you&rsquo;ll bring:
<ul>
<li>2+ years of professional accounting experience preferred</li>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred</li>
<li>Experience with vendor and customer reconciliations</li>
<li>Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and reporting tools)</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite</li>
<li>Experience with Business Central or another ERP</li></ul>
