Job Overview</div><div>
The PM Housekeeping Manager will report to the Assistant Director of Housekeeping and will oversee all day-to-day operations focusing on the PM shift within the Housekeeping Team.</div><div></div><p><b><br>
Essential Job Functions:</b></p><ul><li>Responsible for hotel cleanliness and brand service standards are being maintained in both back and front of house areas</li><li>Communicate and cooperate with various departments including Front Office, In Room Dining and Engineering to assure Hotel Member Satisfaction</li><li>Supervise Housekeeping and Valet team members development</li><li>Ensure equipment and cleaning supplies are safe and secure</li><li>Inspect public areas, accommodations, and back-of-house areas in a timely fashion</li><li>Conduct Daily Pre-Shift departmental meetings and attend operations meetings as needed</li><li>Plan, assign and monitor deep cleaning projects and various other assignments for all Room Attendants, Housepersons and Valet Attendants</li><li>Monitor all V.I.P.'s, and special requests</li><li>Respond to and follow up on Hotel &amp; Team Member questions, concerns, or issues. Provide assistance, directions, and information as requested.</li><li>Perform administrative duties such as payroll, inventory, purchasing and scheduling as needed.</li><li>Issue daily assignments to Team Members according to occupancy and preferences</li><li>Properly train and re-train employees based on established standards. Administer follow ups accordingly</li><li>Strongly focused on FORBES Evening Service Standards</li><li>Drive Productivity to ensure that credits are met</li><li>Oversee rooms preparation for the following day</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Skills, Education and/or Certifications</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree or Equivalent.</li><li>Three to Five years in a similar role in luxury NYC hotels.</li><li>NYC Union experience required.</li><li>Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English (speak, read, write) with guests, co-workers, and management to their understanding.</li><li>Prior guest relations training.</li><li>Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness, and work with a minimum of supervision.</li><li>Ability to think quickly and act appropriately in emergency situations.</li><li>Perform well under pressure situations, time demands, and work overtime when needed.</li><li>Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.</li><li>Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public.</li><li>General computer knowledge and ability to enter work orders, make notes, etc. or related systems.</li><li>Ability to work flexible schedule (AM, PM, Overnight, Weekends &amp; Holidays)</li></ul><p></p><p><br>
*This position will need to work a minimum of 12 months as a PM Housekeeping Manager before transitioning to another shift/department*</p><p></p><p><br>
