Join Ericsson as a Solution Architect (RAN / 4G&ndash;5G) and become part of a highly multicultural and distributed team of 23 professionals (including the manager) across 10 countries: Hungary, Armenia, Turkey, Slovenia, Austria, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Montenegro, and Serbia.
In this role, you will play a critical part in the creation and verification of RAN solutions and in managing New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, with a clear focus on improving quality, delivery speed, and cost efficiency, while supporting business growth and sales success.
You will work at the intersection of architecture, system integration, verification, and stakeholder coordination, contributing directly to live customer deployments and next-generation 4G/5G and O-RAN solutions.<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
What you will do</h2><ul><li>
Design and own end-to-end 4G/5G RAN solution architectures (CU/DU/RU), translating customer requirements into robust and scalable technical designs.</li><li>
Lead creation and verification activities, including solution definition, design mapping, test strategies, and acceptance criteria.</li><li>
Support and coordinate NPI projects, ensuring smooth introduction of new solutions from lab to field.</li><li>
Analyze customer technical and business environments, including KPI/SLA requirements, risks, and trade-offs.</li><li>
Define and validate transport and timing architectures (fronthaul, midhaul, backhaul, PTP, SyncE).</li><li>
Drive systems integration across RAN, Core, OSS/BSS, and third-party components, including multi-vendor environments.</li><li>
Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, R&amp;D, and Operations to ensure solutions are commercially viable and operationally ready.</li><li>
Contribute to value arguments and TCO considerations, balancing performance, cost, and scalability.</li><li>
Present solution designs, PoCs, and validation outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>
Support pilots and early deployments, ensuring readiness for scale and smooth handover to operations.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
The skills you bring</h2><ul><li>
Deep expertise in 4G/5G RAN, including CU/DU/RU and protocol stack understanding.</li><li>
Strong end-to-end solution architecture skills with proven trade-off decision-making.</li><li>
Solid knowledge of transport and timing (fronthaul/midhaul/backhaul, PTP, SyncE).</li><li>
Experience with KPI/SLA definition, solution design mapping, and test/acceptance planning.</li><li>
Hands-on experience in systems integration (RAN, Core, OSS/BSS, third-party systems).</li><li>
General understanding of O-RAN and open interfaces.</li><li>
Awareness of RAN security and compliance requirements.</li><li>
Strong project and stakeholder coordination skills in cross-functional, multi-country environments.</li><li>
Basic understanding of TCO and cost drivers in RAN solutions.</li><li>
Automation and scripting experience (e.g. Python, Ansible, Terraform, Moshell).</li><li>
Exposure to AI/ML concepts applied to network design, optimization, or assurance.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">

About this opportunity:
The IP Security Operations Expert serves as the subject-matter authority within the MS organization for the IP Security domain. This role is focused on technical ownership, operational excellence, and expert-level support of the customer&rsquo;s IP backbone security infrastructure. Ensures stability, performance, and continuous improvement across complex, multi-vendor security environments, acting as a key reference point for engineers, stakeholders, and vendors. 
What you will do:<ul><li>
Own the end-to-end technical operation of the customer&rsquo;s IP backbone security domain, ensuring high availability, resilience, and optimal performance.</li><li>
Provide expert-level operational support for maintenance activities, software/hardware upgrades, and operational changes.</li><li>
Act as the primary technical escalation point for complex and major IP Security incidents, leading deep root-cause analysis and driving sustainable corrective actions.</li><li>
Support and mentor engineers by providing advanced troubleshooting guidance across multi-vendor security solutions (Firewalls, IPS, Authentication servers, Load Balancers, DDoS protection).</li><li>
Analyze and monitor traffic behavior through firewalls, define performance baselines, and lead investigations into anomalies or service degradations.</li><li>
Identify security threats, perform risk assessments, and develop mitigation strategies aligned with customer, MS, and industry security standards.</li><li>
Review, validate, and technically drive IP backbone security expansions, replacements, solution designs, and optimization activities.</li><li>
Coordinate and technically govern high-urgency cases and on-call escalations, ensuring fast, accurate decision-making and minimal service impact.</li><li>
Interface with third-party vendors (3PP) for escalations, defect resolution, and solution optimization.</li><li>
Contribute to operational maturity by defining best practices, technical guidelines, and knowledge-sharing materials.</li><li>
Produce clear technical documentation, reports, and stakeholder communications to support transparency and informed decision-making.</li></ul> 
The skills you bring:<ul><li>
5&ndash;7+ years of relevant experience in Network / IP Security operations, with a strong focus on complex environments and advanced troubleshooting.</li><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Telecommunications, IT Engineering, or equivalent.</li><li>
Strong hands-on expertise in IP Security technologies and network security architectures.</li><li>
Proven experience with multi-vendor firewall and security platforms (e.g., Juniper SRX, F5, Fortinet, Palo Alto).</li><li>
Solid understanding of telecom-grade networks and service provider security challenges.</li><li>
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate effectively under pressure.</li><li>
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>
Very good command of the English language.</li><li>
