Role OverviewThe SAP Basis Consultant will be responsible for the administration, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of SAP environments across various landscapes (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PO, Solution Manager, Fiori, etc.). This role involves providing offshore support for system operations, patch management, performance tuning, and landscape upgrades while ensuring high availability and system reliability.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform SAP system installations, upgrades, migrations, and refreshes for S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, and related systems.</li><li>Manage user administration, roles, and authorizations in collaboration with SAP Security teams.</li><li>Apply SAP kernel upgrades, Support Packs, and OSS notes as needed.</li><li>Conduct performance analysis and system tuning (database, memory, and background jobs).</li><li>Manage and monitor SAP HANA databases, including backups, restores, and performance tuning.</li><li>Administer SAP systems hosted on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or on-premise data centers.</li><li>Coordinate with infrastructure and functional teams for end-to-end system health checks and incident resolution.</li><li>Maintain transport management system (TMS) and handle import/export of changes across landscapes.</li><li>Ensure system compliance with internal IT controls and security standards.</li><li>Support disaster recovery planning, backup strategy, and high-availability configuration.</li><li>Provide 24&times;7 support as part of a rotational offshore team.</li></ul>Technical Skills<ul><li>Core: SAP Basis Administration, SAP Solution Manager (7.2), SAP HANA Database Administration.</li><li>Systems: S/4HANA, ECC 6.0, BW/4HANA, Fiori, PI/PO, and Portal.</li><li>Operating Systems: Linux, Windows Server, AIX, or Unix variants.</li><li>Databases: SAP HANA, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2.</li><li>Tools: SAP Landscape Management (LaMa), SUM/ SWPM, BRTools, SAProuter, and SAP EarlyWatch.</li><li>Cloud Exposure: SAP BTP, AWS, Azure, or GCP hosting.</li><li>Familiarity with SAP Security, Change Management, and Monitoring (CCMS/SolMan).</li></ul>Soft Skills<ul><li>Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Strong collaboration with global teams (onshore&ndash;offshore model).</li><li>Proactive approach to identifying and mitigating system risks.</li></ul>Job Type: Contractual / TemporaryWork Location: Remote
