Solar Service Technician in Austin, TX
 
<ul>
<li>Inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing all issues related to previously installed solar panels and all associated equipment in accordance with national codes, local, state and federal laws as well as company procedures</li>
<li>Accurately comprehending plans, specifications, technical documents, contracts and other job-related documentation to be able to properly complete diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair and inspection work completed and assure compliance with applicable codes and industry standards, project specifications and quality assurance throughout the duration of the contract.</li>
<li>Providing daily logs, photos, updates, reports, and any documentation pertaining to the status of the job using mobile phone or tablet.</li>
<li>Must be able to travel</li>
<li>Communicating with potential, current and previous customers in a professional manner to provide product knowledge, scope of work as well as answer any questions.</li>
<li>Maintaining open and effective communication with subordinate supervisory personnel, regarding all activities within each job while ensuring occupational health and safety of all coworkers, subcontractors, clients, guests and assets in accordance with local, state and federal regulations, departmental and company policies, as well as industry standards and practices.</li>
</ul>
Requirements: 
Minimum 2 years’ experience in the Solar Industry or 3 years’ experience in the Electrical Field
 
OSHA 30
 
Ability to work in a diverse environment with minimal supervision and direction
 
Ability to work simultaneously and effectively on multiple tasks and projects with varying degrees of complexity
 
Familiarity and ability to utilize company-issued laptop computer for both on-site diagnostic repairs to equipment and accessing web-based monitoring platforms to diagnose or review system operation remotely. Prior work or familiarity with SCADA and machine language a plus
 
Extensive understanding of construction site practices, procedures and safety protocols
 
Excellent written and verbal communications skills as well as grammar and spelling proficiency required with the ability to speak, read and write fluent English
 
Ability to maintain a professional and organized working environment, while demonstrating ethical practices and behaviors with sound judgment abilities
 
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation
 
High School Diploma or Equivalent

Solar Service Technician

Field Manager – Solar Service Operations: 
Role Overview: 
We are seeking an experienced Field Manager to lead and support Solar Service Technicians in a hands-on field operations role. This position is responsible for managing service teams, maintaining quality and safety standards, and overseeing the inspection, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of existing solar systems. The ideal candidate has proven leadership experience within solar service operations and thrives in a fast-paced, field-driven environment.
 
Required Qualifications & Responsibilities (Must Haves): 
<ul>
<li>Proven experience managing field service teams within the solar industry, specifically in a Solar Service Technician Manager or Field Operations leadership role</li>
<li>Oversee and perform inspections, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of previously installed solar PV systems and all associated equipment, in compliance with national codes and local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company procedures</li>
<li>Review and interpret plans, specifications, technical documents, contracts, and job-related documentation to ensure accurate diagnosis, repair execution, and compliance with applicable codes, industry standards, quality assurance requirements, and project specifications</li>
<li>Ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently throughout the duration of service contracts</li>
<li>Provide complete and accurate daily documentation, including logs, photos, reports, and job updates using a company-issued mobile phone or tablet</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Serve as a professional point of contact with potential, current, and past customers by providing product knowledge, explaining scope of work, and addressing technical or service-related questions</li>
<li>Maintain open, consistent communication with supervisory staff and field teams regarding job status, performance expectations, and operational priorities</li>
<li>Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards, company policies, and applicable regulations for all employees, subcontractors, clients, and visitors</li>
</ul>
Requirements: 
Experience & Certifications: 
<ul>
<li>Minimum 2 years of experience in the Solar Industry OR 3 years of experience in the Electrical field</li>
<li>OSHA 30 Certification required</li>
</ul>
Technical & Professional Skills: 
<ul>
<li>Ability to work independently in a diverse field environment with minimal supervision</li>
<li>Capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously with varying levels of complexity</li>
<li>Proficient with company-issued laptops for on-site diagnostics and equipment repairs, as well as accessing web-based monitoring platforms for remote system evaluation</li>
<li>Prior experience or familiarity with SCADA systems and machine language is a plus</li>
<li>Strong understanding of construction site practices, procedures, and safety protocols</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong grammar and documentation accuracy</li>
<li>Demonstrated professionalism, organization, ethical decision-making, and sound judgment</li>
</ul>
