About the Role

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide person-centered care and support to individuals in their homes and in the community. You&rsquo;ll assist with daily living activities, implement individualized goals, and foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages growth and independence. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping others, enjoys being active in the community, and is looking for a meaningful, hands-on position with real impact.
Key Responsibilities 
Care and Support<ul><li>
Assist clients with daily tasks such as hygiene, meals, and light housekeeping while encouraging independence</li><li>
Implement goals outlined in the Individual Support Plan (ISP)</li><li>
Foster healthy routines and support client development in line with their abilities and interests</li></ul>
Community Engagement<ul><li>
Accompany clients on outings, appointments, or errands</li><li>
Promote social inclusion by encouraging community interaction and positive relationships</li><li>
Provide safe and reliable transportation using your own vehicle</li></ul>
Safety and Communication<ul><li>
Ensure safety in both home and community settings</li><li>
Respond calmly and effectively in challenging situations, including medical or behavioral emergencies</li><li>
Maintain regular communication with the administrative team</li><li>
Accurately complete all required documentation and reporting</li></ul>
Physical Requirements<ul><li>
Ability to assist with lifting, bending, walking, and other physical aspects of caregiving</li><li>
Capable of handling behavioral challenges and supporting individuals with higher needs</li></ul>

Requirements:

What We're Looking For
Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>
Must be at least 18 years old</li><li>
Prior experience as a DSP or in a similar caregiving/support role</li><li>
Comfortable supporting individuals with high behavioral needs</li><li>
Available to work weekends (required)</li><li>
Own reliable transportation for use in transporting clients</li><li>
Valid Driver&rsquo;s License and current auto insurance (minimum 100k/300k liability coverage)</li><li>
Smartphone with internet access for documentation</li><li>
Ability to pass a DHS criminal background check</li></ul>
Preferred Skills<ul><li>
Compassionate and reliable with strong interpersonal skills</li><li>
Detail-oriented and able to follow instructions precisely</li><li>
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team</li><li>
