<div>Job Summary:
<ul><li>Responsible for repairs and required preventive maintenance of trailers
</li><li>Inspect, trouble shoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance on equipment
</li><li>Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepares safety documents required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company and any other Federal, State or Local regulations
</li><li>Interpret work orders and technical manuals
</li><li>Repair or replace defective parts, components or systems
</li><li>Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer&rsquo;s specifications and legislated regulations
</li><li>Regular attendance is required.

</li></ul>Qualifications:
<ul><li>High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or any combination of education, which would provide an equivalent background
</li><li>Must be 17+ years of age
</li><li>Must have a minimum of one-year experience and/or completion of trade school; or equivalent combination of education and experience
</li><li>Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment
</li><li>Must have own tools
</li><li>Must know general repairs and PM criteria
</li><li>Must possess the ability to keep up with changing technology and updates
</li><li>Possess mechanical ability and interest of electronics and precision equipment
</li><li>Must possess the strength and stamina required to work with heavy equipment and work in awkward positions
</li><li>Physical activities include: walking, lifting, twisting, turning, climbing a ladder, etc.
</li><li>A valid CDL and acceptable MVR are required if driving on public roads
</li><li>If a CDL holder, must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse

</li><li>Must possess a strong work ethic and good problem solving skills

<ul><li>Will be required to operate all types of equipment to perform all safety functions, including, but not limited to, operating manual transmission, chaining tires, etc. and must be skilled and qualified to drive in all types of terrain, routes and environmental conditions.

</li><li>Maintain records required with compliance with local, state and federal regulations
</li><li>Comply with all requirements for safe and legal transportation of hazardous materials

</li><li>Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safe working conditions of the tractor and trailer prior to each trip and at the end of each trip
</li><li>Check gauges and visual indicators for malfunctions, ensure seal or lock on trailers and conducts inspection of vehicle before and during trips to determine problems that may be occurring
</li><li>Promptly report all maintenance problems to Fleet Services and/or supervision
</li><li>Verify unit numbers versus paperwork given and report any discrepancies to your supervisor
</li><li>May be required to use in-cab technology, to include electronic logs and other items
</li><li>May be required to drive different schedules and work the dock based on business needs
</li><li>Provide professional and courteous service to our customers and the general public
</li><li>Regular attendance is required.
