 The role
 
 
 
 Etched is looking for a
 
 legal intern
 
 currently enrolled in law school with interest or exposure to private company and public company corporate governance, equity management, and legal operations to join our team.
 
 
 You&rsquo;ll be a legal resource for entity management, equity workflows, legal operations, and transactional support as we scale operations, close financings, and grow globally. You thrive in ambiguity, move fast without sacrificing accuracy, and bring a first principles mindset to building legal infrastructure.
 
 
 
 You may be a good fit if you have
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Progress towards a J.D. and exposure to both corporate law firms and in-house startup environments
 </li>
 <li>
 Coursework or interest in private company governance, venture financings, equity administration, California and Delaware corporate laws
 </li>
 <li>
 Technical skills with equity platforms (e.g., Carta), virtual data rooms, and contract management tools
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience supporting semiconductor or hardware technology companies a plus
 </li>
 <li>
 A proactive, collaborative, go-getting team player who values precision, confidentiality, and adaptability in a fast-moving environment
 </li>
 <li>
 Paralegal certificate or equivalent practical experience is preferred

 How We&rsquo;re Different
 
 
 
 Etched believes in the Bitter Lesson. We think most of the progress in the AI field has come from using more FLOPs to train and run models, and the best way to get more FLOPs is to build model-specific hardware. Larger and larger training runs encourage companies to consolidate around fewer model architectures, which creates a market for single-model ASICs.
 
 
 We are a fully in-person team in West San Jose, and greatly value engineering skills. We do not have boundaries between engineering and research, and we expect all of our technical staff to contribute to both as needed.
