We&rsquo;re looking for a Controller who&rsquo;s a detail-oriented, process-driven accounting leader excited to power the financial engine across our platform and portfolio. As our Controller, you&rsquo;ll manage daily accounting operations, lead a distributed team, and build the scalable workflows that keep our business running cleanly and on time.This is a hands-on role&mdash;you&rsquo;ll both lead and execute. You&rsquo;ll have a direct line to the CFO and a clear lane to own: no FP&amp;A, no corporate finance, just focused, high-quality accounting operations done right. A significant part of this role involves managing the complexity that comes with a multi-entity portfolio, keeping inter-company charges organized and accounted for across each of our businesses and ensuring the books stay clean as we continue to grow through acquisition.Beyond the day-to-day, you&rsquo;ll have the opportunity to take on high-impact projects like acquisition integrations, ERP buildouts, and process standardization across newly acquired businesses.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Own the core accounting engine across multiple entities, including monthly close, AR, AP, cash application, and key balance sheet schedules</li><li>Manage inter-company charges and transactions across the portfolio &mdash; ensuring allocations are accurate, well-documented, and consistently applied across all entities</li><li>Lead SaaS accounting operations &mdash; billing workflows, deferred revenue rollforwards, and revenue recognition support</li><li>Maintain clean, review-ready balance sheet schedules and documentation at all times</li><li>Drive accounting process discipline in Sage Intacct, including dimensions, GL structure, entity mapping, and approvals workflows</li><li>Build and enforce SOPs, controls, and scalable accounting workflows that hold up as the team and portfolio grow</li><li>Standardize processes and reporting across multiple entities, including businesses we acquire</li><li>Lead a fully remote accounting team across U.S. and international time zones, setting the standard for quality and accountability</li><li>Coordinate with external partners for tax filings and reviewed financials &mdash; core accounting stays in-house</li><li>Partner with billing, collections, and adjacent systems to ensure seamless data flow into Intacct</li><li>Own acquisition integrations from the accounting side: ERP setup, system integration, and accounting policy alignment</li><li>Oversee compliance including sales tax and VAT reporting</li><li>Serve as system owner and administrator for core finance systems: Sage Intacct, Avalara, bank accounts, and merchant accounts</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>7+ years of progressive accounting experience at the Controller or Assistant Controller level</li><li>CPA is a plus, not a requirement</li><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (CPA or equivalent experience welcomed in lieu of degree)</li><li>Strong GAAP fundamentals and a proven track record of clean, on-time close ownership</li><li>SaaS/recurring revenue experience required; deferred revenue, contract-to-cash, and billing workflows</li><li>Multi-entity accounting and consolidations experience strongly preferred, including managing inter-company charges across multiple business units</li><li>Experience operating in a large ERP environment; Sage Intacct strongly preferred</li><li>Background in software or technology companies strongly preferred</li><li>Process-first mindset with the ability to drive accountability across a distributed, remote team</li><li>Comfortable operating at both the strategic and execution level</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Post-acquisition accounting experience; 2+ integrations preferred, but any M&amp;A accounting experience is a plus</li><li>Hands-on experience with ERP implementations or migrations in an acquisition context</li><li>Familiarity with AI-powered accounting tools and a genuine desire to increase productivity through automation</li><li>Experience managing international team members or entities</li></ul>LocationDenver, CO preferred, but we&rsquo;re open to remote candidates (U.S./compatible time zones)Compensation &amp; Benefits$145,000 &ndash; $185,000 per year, plus comprehensive benefits.Why This Role Stands Out<ul><li>Own a mission-critical function with real visibility and impact across the full portfolio</li><li>Work directly with the CFO with a clear scope and room to build</li><li>Lead a team, shape the systems, and set the standard for accounting operations</li><li>Take on meaningful projects; acquisition integrations, process buildouts, system implementations, not just recurring close work</li><li>Join a team that values rigor, ownership, and continuous improvement</li></ul>Pay: $145,000.00 - $185,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Do you have experience working at a software company?</li><li>Do you have M&amp;A or post-acquisition experience?</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Accounting : 7 years (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Greenwood Village, CO 80111
