Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide expert psychiatric care to diverse patient populations across outpatient and inpatient settings. Your commitment to patient-centered care will foster healing and resilience within our community.Duties<ul><li>Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments.</li><li>Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating medication management, psychotherapy (including psychodynamic therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy), and other behavioral interventions.</li><li>Administer psychiatric medications safely and effectively, monitoring patient responses and adjusting prescriptions as needed in accordance with best practices and HIPAA regulations.</li><li>Manage crisis situations with prompt intervention strategies to ensure patient safety; coordinate with emergency services when necessary.</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate inpatient and outpatient care plans, ensuring seamless transitions between settings.</li><li>Maintain detailed medical documentation including intake notes, progress reports, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in compliance with medical records standards.</li><li>Conduct patient assessments during intake processes; collect relevant data to inform diagnosis and treatment strategies.</li><li>Stay current on medical terminology, diagnostic criteria, and advances in psychiatry to provide evidence-based care.</li><li>Uphold confidentiality standards under HIPAA regulations while managing sensitive patient information securely.</li><li>Participate in ongoing training related to telehealth services to expand access to mental health care remotely.</li><li>Engage in data collection for quality improvement initiatives; contribute to clinical audits and research projects as needed.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Completion of a residency program in Psychiatry with post-residency experience working in behavioral health settings.</li><li>Proven experience working with children and adolescents in pediatric psychiatry or clinic environments is highly desirable.</li><li>Experience providing psychiatric care within hospital inpatient units or outpatient clinics is highly desirable.</li><li>Familiarity with working with people with developmental disabilities or complex mental health needs such as PTSD or addiction counseling is preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated competence in crisis management techniques for acute psychiatric emergencies.</li><li>Prior telehealth experience that showcases ability to deliver effective remote psychiatric services is a plus.</li><li>Knowledge of medical documentation standards, medical terminology, and electronic health record systems is essential for accurate record keeping.</li><li>Strong understanding of psychopharmacology principles combined with skills in diagnostic evaluation across diverse populations.</li></ul>RequirementsActive and current board certification issued by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in at least one of the Board&rsquo;s recognized specialties or subspecialties (e.g., general psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, psychosomatic medicine, etc.) and successful completion of a general psychiatry residency program; OR: Board eligible (not certified) Psychiatrists having completed their residencies and possess 2 years or more of paid work experience in a psychiatry setting.License/Certification<ul><li>Physicians and Surgeons Certificate to practice medicine in the State of Nevada (MD/DO), which is unrestricted</li><li>DEA for controlled substances</li><li>Board certification or Board Eligible in psychiatry</li><li>Credentialed with Medicare and Nevada Medicaid &ndash; We will credential all other needed insurances</li></ul>CompensationPosition is 1099 Independent Contractor with a revenue percentage split 70/30.
