Sr. Project Engineer - Electrical

1. Project Planning &amp; Scheduling<ul><li>Develop detailed project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.</li><li>Break down scope into WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) for accurate planning.</li><li>Define activity durations, sequencing, dependencies, and milestones.</li><li>Prepare baseline programs and ensure they align with contract requirements.</li></ul>2. Coordination &amp; Interface Management<ul><li>Coordinate with design teams, MEP, civil, joinery, and specialist subcontractors.</li><li>Ensure all shop drawings, material approvals, and long‑lead items are planned and tracked.</li><li>Identify interface issues between trades and propose solutions early.</li></ul>3. Progress Monitoring &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Track site progress against the baseline schedule.</li><li>Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and look‑ahead programs.</li><li>Conduct delay analysis and highlight risks or deviations.</li><li>Update schedules with actual progress and forecast completion dates.</li></ul>4. Resource &amp; Procurement Planning<ul><li>Plan manpower, materials, and equipment requirements for each activity.</li><li>Coordinate procurement schedules with suppliers and subcontractors.</li><li>Monitor delivery timelines for joinery, furniture, fixtures, and specialized fit‑out materials.</li></ul>5. Fitout Execution Support<ul><li>Support site teams with sequencing and methodology for fitout works.</li><li>Ensure planning aligns with site constraints, access, and logistics.</li><li>Assist in preparing method statements and installation plans.</li></ul>6. Risk &amp; Delay Management<ul><li>Identify potential delays (design changes, approvals, material shortages).</li><li>Propose mitigation strategies and recovery schedules.</li><li>Perform delay impact assessments (EOT analysis when required).</li></ul>7. Documentation &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Maintain planning documentation, logs, and schedule revisions.</li><li>Ensure compliance with contract requirements, authority regulations, and project specifications.</li><li>Support claims, variations, and commercial submissions with planning evidence.</li></ul>8. 1. Quantity Take‑Offs &amp; Measurement<ul><li>Prepare detailed quantity take‑offs for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems.</li><li>Review drawings (IFC, shop drawings, as‑built) and identify discrepancies.</li><li>Update quantities based on design changes, site conditions, and revisions.</li><li>Use measurement standards such as POMI, CESMM, or project‑specific methods.</li></ul>2. Cost Estimation &amp; Budgeting<ul><li>Prepare cost estimates for MEP works during tendering and execution.</li><li>Develop BOQs with accurate descriptions and unit rates.</li><li>Analyze material, labor, and equipment costs.</li><li>Support value engineering by proposing cost‑effective alternatives.</li></ul>3. Contract &amp; Commercial Management<ul><li>Review contract documents, specifications, and MEP scope.</li><li>Prepare and manage interim payment applications.</li><li>Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparison sheets.</li><li>Assist in drafting subcontract agreements and commercial terms.</li></ul>4. Variations &amp; Claims<ul><li>Identify variations due to design changes, site instructions, or unforeseen conditions.</li><li>Prepare variation orders, cost breakdowns, and supporting documentation.</li><li>Assist in preparing claims for time and cost impacts.</li><li>Negotiate variation costs with consultants and clients.</li></ul>5. Cost Control &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Track project costs vs. budget and forecast final cost.</li><li>Monitor material procurement and subcontractor expenditures.</li><li>Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial summaries.</li><li>Highlight potential cost overruns and propose corrective actions.</li></ul>6. Procurement Support<ul><li>Prepare MEP material and subcontractor procurement packages.</li><li>Evaluate technical and commercial compliance of vendor offers.</li><li>Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams for approvals.</li></ul>7. 1. Coordination &amp; Planning<ul><li>Review MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings, specifications, and project documents.</li><li>Coordinate between MEP subcontractors, civil teams, architects, and consultants.</li><li>Prepare coordination drawings (2D/3D) to resolve clashes before execution.</li><li>Ensure all MEP works align with the project schedule and milestones.</li></ul>2. Technical Review &amp; Clash Resolution<ul><li>Conduct clash detection using BIM models or coordination drawings.</li><li>Lead technical meetings to resolve conflicts between disciplines (HVAC vs. electrical, plumbing vs. structural, etc.).</li><li>Verify that MEP designs comply with local codes, standards, and client requirements.</li></ul>3. Site Execution Support<ul><li>Monitor on-site MEP installation to ensure it matches approved drawings.</li><li>Provide technical guidance to site engineers and supervisors.</li><li>Coordinate material deliveries and ensure correct materials are used.</li><li>Identify and resolve site issues quickly to avoid delays.</li></ul>4. Documentation &amp; Approvals<ul><li>Prepare and submit shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.</li><li>Follow up with consultants for approvals.</li><li>Maintain logs for drawings, RFIs, approvals, and inspections.</li><li>Ensure as-built drawings are updated and accurate.</li></ul>5. Testing, Commissioning &amp; Handover<ul><li>Coordinate testing and commissioning of all MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, ELV).</li><li>Ensure compliance with commissioning procedures and standards.</li><li>Prepare handover documentation, O&amp;M manuals, and training sessions for the client.</li></ul>6. Communication &amp; Meetings<ul><li>Attend weekly coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and clients.</li><li>Present progress updates and highlight risks or delays.</li><li>Communicate design changes and ensure all teams are aligned.</li></ul>7.
