Job Description 
Eurofins Built Environment Testing is searching for an Mold and PLM Asbestos Analyst in Burlingame, CA. Eurofins invests in training our new hires and this position may require overnight travel for training.
The Analyst primarily performs analysis of bulk samples using PLM for asbestos, and analysis of non-culturable surface and air samples for fungi. Analyst prepares and analyzes environmental samples according to scientific methodology in compliance with company Quality Assurance programs and SOP&rsquo;s, and must be knowledgeable of both job-specific routine and complex analyses. The analyst validates and reviews data for accuracy, and enters laboratory data into the LIMS that ultimately generates required reports to clients. Schedules sample workload according to due dates and sample hold times, and must be knowledgeable of the job-specific laboratory testing equipment, requiring the exercise of discretion and judgment in its operation.
Mold/Asbestos Analyst responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:<ul><li>
Prepare and analyze aerobiological and environmental samples for asbestos and fungi.</li><li>
Accurately enters and reports analytical data using the LIMS</li><li>
Performs independent data reviews for other analysts&rsquo; work</li><li>
Performs analysis of reference materials, proficiency samples and other quality control samples as needed</li><li>
Maintains client service and provides technical support as needed</li><li>
Assists the QA manager in development, implementation and data collection of QA processes for the different analytical tests</li><li>
Performs confirmation of lab results as needed by client services personnel</li><li>
Performs and completes all analytical testing and Quality Assurance related tasks as needed</li><li>
Assists in pursuing, receiving and maintaining necessary laboratory accreditations</li><li>
Maintains and updates all necessary Training and QA documents onsite as necessary</li><li>
Coordinates and manages projects according to their rush status and due time for timely delivery</li><li>
Assists co-workers on analytical questions, as necessary</li><li>
Participates in Lean initiatives as needed</li><li>
Follows company policies and procedures and ensures that coworkers are doing the same</li><li>
Manages and maintains the inventory of re-sale supply items and laboratory consumables and takes necessary steps to re-order supplies as needed</li><li>
Manages and disposes analyzed samples as needed</li><li>
Provides training support for relevant analytical services (i.e. mycology, bacteriology, asbestos, ect) as needed</li><li>
Recommends and coordinates sample transfer as necessary</li><li>
Establishes and maintains laboratory stock culture and reference samples</li><li>
Performs root cause analysis and implements corrective actions for errors and issues as necessary</li><li>
Maintains all equipment properly and co-ordinates servicing of all equipment used in the laboratory, as needed</li><li>
Routinely communicates available capacity to Regional Manager</li><li>
Supports other departments within the lab (mycology, asbestos, bacteriology, and other) when appropriate and as needed</li><li>
Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Supervisor/Manager</li></ul> 

Qualifications 
Basic Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>
0-1+ years of industry experience performing asbestos microscopy and/or performing spore trap and fungal direct exam and culture analysis highly preferred</li><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in microbiology, biology, geology or a closely related science</li><li>
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship</li><li>
Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English</li><li>

Additional Information 
Compensation range: $23 - $27 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description 
Eurofins Built Environment Testing is looking for a Quality Administrative Specialist to support seven Quality Assurance Managers across the US. The position is remote, however, the ideal candidate will reside near one of our laboratory locations in either Cary, NC, Chicago, IL, Pasadena, TX, Denver, CO Phoenix, AZ, Tustin, CA, Burlingame, CA, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA or San Diego, CA.
The Quality Administrative Specialist plays a key support role in maintaining and strengthening the quality framework across a network of laboratories. This position will assist multiple Laboratory Quality Managers by coordinating licensing and accreditation efforts and supporting the documentation and maintenance of Quality Management System (QMS) components. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and proactive, with a strong understanding of quality systems and regulatory requirements in laboratory environments. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
<ul><li>
Centralize and manage all accreditation, licensing, and certification programs.</li><li>
Maintain a master calendar and tracking system to ensure timely renewals and prevent missed deadlines.</li><li>
Handle the application process for scope expansions, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.</li><li>
Monitor and interpret regulatory requirements applicable to the organization.</li><li>
Maintain records of regulatory updates and communicate changes to relevant teams.</li><li>
Analyze costs associated with licensing, accreditation, and compliance programs.</li><li>

Qualifications 
Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>

2+ years of experience in a quality, regulatory, or administrative support role, preferably in a laboratory setting.</li><li>
Familiarity with laboratory accreditation and regulatory bodies (e.g., NVLAP, AIHA, TNI, NYDOH, CAELAP) is highly desirable.</li><li>
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li><li>
Excellent communication, documentation, and time-management skills.</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and experience with document control systems.</li><li>

Additional Information

Job Description 
This is both a technical and client-facing role that would suit someone who is currently working for a manufacturer of process or industrial equipment in a product design capacity or working for a certification body or test laboratory; and who is enthusiastic, pragmatic, and thorough and who enjoys being part of a small, growing team. Experience is preferred at this stage, but we are also willing to discuss other roles and opportunities with newly qualified candidates.
Senior roles may include responsibility for review of draft reports and mentoring trainee certification engineers.
