 Job Description
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Performing physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished pharmaceutical products (tablets, capsules, parenterals, devices, liquids, creams, and gels) and animal health products
 </li>
 <li>
 Preparing standards and samples for analysis; running the instrumentation independently including, but not limited to, various chromatographic systems, Karl Fischer (Coulometric and Volumetric), UV/Spec, HPLC, and dissolution apparatus
 </li>
 <li>
 Executing method transfer protocols
 </li>
 <li>
 Performing monthly maintenance of laboratory equipment
 </li>
 <li>
 Working efficiently, documenting work clearly, and performing tests accurately
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensuring that the client receives quality data by reviewing laboratory data for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to GMP and/or GLP regulations
 </li>
 <li>
 Reads and understands analytical procedures (compendial and client supplied) and internal SOPs
 </li>
 <li>
 Processes data, generates reports, and evaluates data
 </li>
 <li>
 Trains others in laboratory procedures
 </li>
 <li>
 Performs laboratory maintenance
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicates with vendors and repair personnel
 </li>
 <li>
 Writes investigations
 </li>
 <li>
 Leads project/test areas and perform method transfers/feasibility studies
 </li>
 <li>

These activities require working in all departments including QA, microbiology, chemistry, and general support for laboratory operations

 Performs other duties as assigned
 </li>

 Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

 Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

 Minimum Qualifications:

 Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)

 1-2 years of previous laboratory experience

 Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

 Set-up and conduct in vitro experiments in accordance with protocols and standard operating procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Efficiently carry out procedures necessary to complete each project with minimal supervision.
 </li>
 <li>
 As appropriate, perform procedures under aseptic conditions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Actively assist in development and execution of novel testing protocols and overall assay development.
 </li>

 Maintain cell lines.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare test solutions in accordance with directions.

 Meticulously maintain precise records in accordance with good laboratory practices.

 Assist in writing of reports.

 Follow all PSL safety requirements.

 Qualifications

 B.S. degree or equivalent experience in laboratory animal medicine, toxicology, animal science, or biology is preferred.

 Must have 2 years of industry experience with cell culture

 Prefer someone with hands-on experience in a GLP setting
