Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Lead HVAC &amp; Plumbing Technician to oversee and perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, leadership qualities, and a comprehensive understanding of construction, schematics, HVAC design, and property maintenance. This role requires a proactive approach to field service operations, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. A valid driver&rsquo;s license is essential for this position.Typical Workday Show up at the shop at 10am ready to work; plan ahead so that you come prepared to get in a solid 8 hour day (10am-6pm). You may be assigned to service calls and if there are none, you will be performing remodeling work when there are no service calls assigned to you.Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead and coordinate HVAC and plumbing service projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.</li><li>Perform installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), and other mechanical equipment.</li><li>Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to accurately execute projects.</li><li>Conduct equipment repairs using tools such as ohmmeters, welders, and other mechanical repair instruments.</li><li>Diagnose issues with HVAC/R systems and develop effective solutions for property maintenance clients.</li><li>Oversee field service operations including appliance repair, equipment maintenance, welding, and boiler servicing.</li><li>Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.</li><li>Train and mentor junior technicians to improve team skills and efficiency.</li><li>Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and parts used for each project or service call.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience in construction-related HVAC or plumbing fields with a strong background in service technician roles.</li><li>Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems&mdash;including air conditioning, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and appliance repair.</li><li>Mechanical knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, property maintenance practices, and equipment repair techniques.</li><li>Experience working with field service operations across various environments.</li><li>Skilled in reading blueprints and schematics; familiarity with HVAC/R system layouts is preferred.</li><li>Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; welding experience is a plus.</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in maintenance tasks involving boilers or refrigeration systems.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license with a clean driving record is required.</li><li>Additional skills such as welding, property maintenance, or mechanic experience will be considered advantageous.
