The <b>Bartender (&quot;Cantinero/a&quot;) </b>serves each guest with the highest standard of professionalism, courtesy and enthusiasm to make the guest's day/evening enjoyable. Serves beverages to patrons seated at the bar and to cocktail servers servicing the lounge.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES</b></div></div><ul><li><div>
Promotes and serves food and drinks in an efficient and courteous fashion with a smile.
</div></li><li><div>Notifies leadership of any guest comments or service issues.
</div></li><li><div>Takes food and beverage orders in a friendly manner with a positive attitude, utilizing suggestive selling.
</div></li><li><div>Mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, following standard recipes.
</div></li><li><div>Utilizes a jigger to ensure standard and accurate measurements and recipes are followed.
</div></li><li><div>Secures payment / tabs for all drinks prior to preparation and service.
</div></li><li><div>Grows and maintains a working knowledge of food, beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails. Is knowledgeable of brands carried and takes advantage of upselling opportunities.
</div></li><li><div>Follows all County Health Department laws, regulations, and departmental procedures in the maintenance, preparation, and service of food and beverages.
</div></li><li><div>Maintains general cleanliness and tidiness throughout shift in all areas.</div></li><li><div>
Immediately reports all accidents to management.
</div></li><li><div>Speaks to management when in doubt about any rules, regulations, or procedure.</div></li><li><div>
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.</div></li></ul><div><div><b><br>
QUALIFICATIONS</b></div></div><ul><li><div>
At least 1 year of relevant experience and/or training.</div></li><li><div>
A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement.</div></li><li><div>
Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred.</div></li><li><div>
Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.</div></li><li><div>
Must be able to attain a valid San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire. Evans Hotels will provide this training and is to be completed at the company&rsquo;s expense.</div></li><li><div>
RBS certification required.</div></li><li><div>
Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.</div></li><li><div>
Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.</div></li><li><div>
The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.</div></li></ul><div><div><br>
