THE OPPORTUNITY 

Ever Well is searching for a caring and compassionate Residential Care Assistant to join our growing team. The Residential Care Assistant is a major contributor to our core mission and serves as a direct line of support within our residential communities, creating a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for adults experiencing significant mental or emotional issues.

SCHEDULE OPTIONS 
<ul><li>Sunday&ndash;Thursday</li><li>Tuesday&ndash;Saturday</li><li>Friday&ndash;Monday</li><li>6:00AM&ndash;3:00PM</li><li>2:00PM&ndash;11:00PM</li><li>10:30PM&ndash;6:30AM</li><li>Weekends and Holidays as Scheduled</li></ul>

Required to drive agency vehicles; must be at least 21 years of age to meet insurance requirements. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO 
<ul><li>Aid and support residents in all areas of daily living, working individually and in groups, including prompting, escorting, supervising, and assisting residents both in small groups and one-on-one as needed.</li><li>Provide transportation in agency vehicle for agency business (residents, supplies, food, etc.).</li><li>Remind residents of medical appointments and assist residents with self-administered medications as appropriate.</li><li>Encourage and assist residents with tasks to manage medical conditions (e.g., diabetes management, special diets, incontinence support including laundry, changing sheets, and cleaning rooms).</li><li>Lead and engage residents in planned group activities and outings with supervision.</li><li>Attend and participate in staff, program, facility, and training meetings as required.</li><li>Assure that facility, resident, and program areas are clean, organized, and safe.</li></ul> 

REQUIREMENTS &ndash; WHAT WE&rsquo;RE LOOKING FOR 

A dependable, service-oriented team member who exercises sound judgment, remains calm under pressure, and is committed to providing structured, compassionate support in a licensed residential setting. 

REQUIRED &ndash; EXPERIENCE &amp; EDUCATION 
<ul><li>Caregiving experience: 1 year (Required).</li><li>Emergency management experience or ability to be trained.</li><li>Ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.</li><li>Experience exercising good judgment and acting calmly in emergency situations.</li></ul> 

REQUIRED &ndash; ABILITIES &amp; ATTRIBUTES 
<ul><li>Excellent team player and communicator with all levels of staff.</li><li>Tact and diplomacy when working with vendors and outside parties.</li><li>Ability to read and understand documents; write simple memos and reports; and speak effectively with residents and staff.</li><li>Ability to engage and communicate with residents in an empathetic manner.</li><li>Ability to work effectively with persons differing in value systems, ethnicity, cultural backgrounds, language capabilities, and disabilities.</li><li>Ability to follow directions and work within a program and systems structure.</li><li>Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized and emergency situations.</li><li>High degree of discretion and independent judgment.</li><li>High emotional and collective awareness.</li><li>Calm under pressure.</li><li>Great sense of humor and values humility.</li><li>Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States.</li></ul> 

REQUIRED &ndash; CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES 
<ul><li>Valid California driver&rsquo;s license, current automobile insurance, and good driving record.</li><li>DMV pull program enrollment.</li><li>Current First Aid Certificate.</li><li>CPR Certification.</li></ul> 

REQUIRED &ndash; PHYSICAL 
<ul><li>Walking, sitting, pinching, finger flexion, and visual/auditory acuity required constantly (over 2/3 of the workday).</li><li>Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and twisting required occasionally (under 1/3 of the workday).</li><li>Balancing, climbing, and crawling generally not required.</li><li>Ability to pass an employment physical.</li><li>Current TB test (no negative results within the last 12 months).</li></ul>
