Overview: A Behavior Technician works directly with individuals who have developmental, behavioral, or mental health challenges, applying evidence-based strategies, such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), to improve socially significant behaviors. The therapist collaborates with a team of professionals, including Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), to help clients develop skills, reduce challenging behaviors, and improve their quality of lifeKey Responsibilities:<ul><li>Conduct one-on-one or group therapy sessions based on plans designed by BCBAs or clinical supervisor.</li><li>Implement behavior intervention plans to teach skills, promote independence and reduce challenging behaviors.</li><li>Use positive reinforcement and other techniques for behavior modification.</li><li>Collect and track data on client progress during sessions.</li><li>Adjust interventions under the guidance of a BCBA or supervisor.</li><li>Communicate with parents, caregivers, and team members about client progress.</li><li>Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines as per the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or other governing bodies.</li><li>Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision meetings to review client progress and improve therapy techniques.</li><li>Assist clients in various settings including homes, schools, clinics, or community locations as per treatment plans.</li><li>Collaborate with other professionals (e.g., teachers, speech therapists) to ensure a cohesive approach.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in psychology, education, social work, or related field (preferred).</li><li>Experience with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or behavioral challenges (preferred).</li><li>Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles (RBT certification is a plus).</li><li>Effective communication skills.</li><li>Compassionate and patient demeanor.</li><li>Excellent data collection and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.</li></ul>Working Conditions:<ul><li>Varied settings: homes, schools, clinics, community environments.</li><li>Physical demands may include sitting, standing, and occasional lifting or moving individuals.</li><li>May require flexible hours, including evenings or weekends.</li></ul>Salary: Starting at $30-$35 an hour, based on experience and location.Schedule:Monday - Friday 3pm - 6pm Saturdays 9am - 2pmJob Type: Part-time.Reports to: BCBA or clinical supervisor.Overview: A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) works directly with clients to implement behavior intervention plans, designed by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or other behavior professionals. The RBT&rsquo;s primary responsibility is to provide therapy and support for individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Implement individualized behavior intervention plans created by BCBAs to improve socially significant behaviors.</li><li>Collaborate with clients in both one-on-one and group settings to teach new skills, address challenging behaviors, and foster independence.</li><li>Collect and record data on client behavior during therapy sessions to track progress.</li><li>Follow ethical guidelines set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).</li><li>Communicate supervisors (BCBAs), team members, and family members regarding client progress and any challenges encountered.</li><li>Participate in supervision sessions and regular supervision sessions with a BCBA to review progress and refine techniques.</li><li>Use positive reinforcement techniques and other evidence-based behavior intervention techniques to support client goals.</li><li>Maintain safe and supportive environments for clients according to HIPAA and other confidentiality standards.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>High school diploma (bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred in psychology, education, or a related field).</li><li>Current RBT certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or the ability to obtain certification within a specific time frame</li><li>Experience with developmental disabilities or in behavior therapy (preferred).</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent organizational abilities.</li><li>Patience and empathy in challenging situations.</li><li>Ability to follow instructions and adapt to individualized client needs.</li><li>Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and accept constructive feedback.</li><li>Working Conditions:</li><li>Various settings: homes, schools, clinics, community environments.</li><li>Physical requirements include the ability to engage in activities with clients, including sitting, standing, and occasionally lifting or moving individuals as necessary.</li><li>May require flexible hours, including evenings or weekends.</li></ul>Salary: Starting at $38-$40 an hour, based on experience and location.Schedule: Monday - Friday 3pm - 6pm Saturdays 9am - 2pmJob Type: Part-time.Reports to: Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or supervising behavior analyst.Job Type: Part-timePay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Preferred)</li></ul>Language:<ul><li>Spanish (Required)</li><li>English (Required)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>RBT Certification (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
