Purpose: The Marketing Specialist is an individual contributor role reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer. This position is ideal for an ambitious marketing professional who is an excellent storyteller and wants to make an immediate impact at an innovative hydrogen electrolyzer start-up. The Marketing Specialist will work closely with leadership to develop and execute marketing strategies, develop a layman&rsquo;s narrative of the technical aspects of our product, refine messaging for our technical customers, build our brand presence, and establish our voice in the clean tech/energy sector.Essential Responsibilities:Marketing Communications &amp; Brand Development:<ul><li>Help tell EVOLOH&rsquo;s story though white papers, case studies, articles, social media, presentations, etc.</li><li>Develop an easy-to-understand narrative about the technical details of our product.</li><li>Develop and implement digital marketing campaigns targeting tech-focused industries including data centers, Power to X, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), green hydrogen, and adjacent clean energy sectors</li><li>Create and manage content for multiple channels including website, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and industry platforms</li><li>Build and maintain relationships with industry publications, podcasts, and influencers in the clean tech and B2B technology space</li><li>Maintain consistent brand voice and visual identity across all touchpoints</li><li>Manage vendor relationships for design, PR, and marketing technology platforms</li><li>Support internal communications and team recognition initiatives</li><li>Track and report on marketing metrics, campaign performance, and ROI across all marketing activities</li></ul>Event Management &amp; Lead Generation:<ul><li>Plan and execute presence at 6-10 industry conferences and trade shows annually</li><li>Coordinate speaking opportunities, booth presence, and networking activities.</li><li>Develop pre-event and post-event communication strategies.</li><li>Build targeted outreach campaigns to generate qualified leads for sales pipeline.</li><li>Implement lead capture and nurturing processes for events.</li></ul>Marketing Strategy:<ul><li>Apply marketing rigor and strategic frameworks to evaluate market opportunities, ensuring EVOLOH technology and brand are positioned in the right products, markets, and industries for both current success and future growth</li><li>Conduct strategic market analysis to identify white space opportunities, adjacent markets, and potential technologic partnership opportunities that align with company vision</li><li>Partner with sales team to understand customer personas and refine messaging for technical audiences</li><li>Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to identify trends, opportunities, and strategic positioning in emerging clean energy markets</li><li>Support new product development initiatives by providing market insights, customer feedback, and go-to-market recommendations</li></ul>Expected Results (high to low priority):<ul><li>Brand Development: Develop EVOLOH&rsquo;s story and ensure that all internal and external messaging supports this story</li><li>Marketing Communications : Develop EVOLOH&rsquo;s story and ensure that all internal and external messaging supports this story</li><li>Event Management &amp; Lead Generation: Research, plan and execute events that will support go-to-market strategies and make EVOLOH a recognized brand</li><li>Marketing Strategy: Help identify untapped opportunities in the market</li></ul>Qualifications:Education:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in marketing, communications or other in a related field (required)</li><li>Minor or extensive study of engineering, science, or technical field that enables understanding of complex technologies (preferred)</li><li>Advance degree (preferred)</li></ul>Work Experience:<ul><li>2-5 years of B2B marketing experience, preferably in technology, clean tech, energy, or industrial sector</li><li>Experience marketing to technical buyers</li><li>Startup, scale-up, or early-stage company experience highly valued</li><li>Demonstrated success with digital marketing, content creation, and social media</li></ul>Skills &amp; Abilities:<ul><li>Strong understanding of B2B technology marketing</li><li>Strategic marketing mindset with ability to evaluate market opportunities using data-driven frameworks</li><li>Experience or demonstrated interest in strategic partnerships, licensing opportunities, or new business development</li><li>Ability to apply marketing rigor to assess whether opportunities align with company strategy and brand positioning</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for various audiences</li><li>Ability to work effectively across global teams, time zones, and with diverse stakeholders</li><li>High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and marketing software platforms</li><li>Strong project management and organizational skills</li><li>Proficiency in marketing automation platforms</li><li>Experience with CRM systems</li><li>Strategic thinking with data-driven decision-making abilities</li><li>Passion for clean energy, sustainability, and climate technology</li><li>Comfortable with data analysis, market sizing, and using metrics to drive strategic decisions - Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently and take initiative</li><li>Fluency in English (written and verbal)</li><li>Background in engineering, science, or technical field that enables understanding of complex technologies (preferred)</li></ul>Essential Job Functions:With or without reasonable accommodation, the Lead Marketing Specialist must be able to:<ul><li>Perform computer-based work including content creation, data analysis, and system navigation for extended periods</li><li>Create compelling written, visual, and multimedia content</li><li>Communicate effectively in virtual meetings, via phone/video conference, and in-person settings</li><li>Manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines</li><li>Attend and represent the company at industry events and conferences</li><li>Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams</li><li>Create, review, and manage documents and records with attention to detail and accuracy</li></ul>Work EnvironmentThis position operates primarily in a professional office setting with climate control. The role includes remote work flexibility.
