 Job Description
 
 
 
 The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing primary care to patients within the facility, as well as keeping records of patients&rsquo; health, creating patient care plans, and administrating diagnostic tests. This role will require working closely with the Clinical Research Coordinators, assisting in tasks that relate to the conduct of clinical trials. This position is essential to providing support to our other clinicians within the unit and to our patients overall positive health. Additionally, this position will take on a Clinical Manager role as well, mentoring staff at the research site and assisting in overseeing employees&rsquo; performance, evaluations, corrective action plans, and the management of staff schedules. The Clinical Manager is essential in the day-to-day management to ensure that the site is running smoothly and effectively. The typical responsibilities include developing and implementing policies and directives, handling communications, managing staff recruitment, providing quality training to the staff, and supervising overall daily activities at the site. Not only is this position crucial to employees but also will be evaluating and implementing study protocols.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities

 For an NP-Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program. Current valid RN license. Board Certification.

 5+ years in a leadership role with on-site management responsibilities

Job Description:
The Patient Care Technician assists with the conduct of clinical trials through overseeing the care of clinical trial subjects while housed on unit. Assist with the collection of biological samples, perform venipuncture, electrocardiograms, tube labeling, sample processing, documenting in subject charts, and other related tasks in accordance with the doctor&rsquo;s written orders. In executing these responsibilities, the Patient Care Technician is guided by Good Clinical Practices (GCP), International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and company standard operating procedures and policies.
This role will be for nights/weekends, but flexibility is preferred to cover shifts if needed.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Perform regular safety and status checks on clinical trial subjects housed on unit as determined by physician orders.</li><li>
Perform appropriate research protocol procedures as delegated which may include but are not limited to vital signs, blood collection and processing, ECGs, and point of care laboratory tests.</li><li>
Perform basic lab procedures as delegated including but not limited to preparation of specimen tubes and labels, blood specimen collection, centrifuge operation, storing and shipping of lab specimens, accountability of specimens and notification of courier for specimen pick-ups.</li><li>
Ensure that biological specimens are disposed of appropriately.</li><li>
Maintain a clean, safe work environment for both fellow employees and clinical trial subjects.</li><li>
Engage the clinical trial subjects in group activities or one-on-one activities while housed on unit.</li><li>
Assure subjects have linens, toiletry items, and other sundries needed while the subject is housed on the unit.</li><li>
Serve meals and provide snacks to clinical trial subjects while subjects are housed on unit.</li><li>
Study, learn and comply with ERG site standard operating procedures, and other policies, practices and regulations where applicable.</li><li>

Skills and Qualifications:<ul><li>

High school Degree or equivalent</li><li>
One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.</li><li>
CPR Certification required.</li><li>
Phlebotomy certification (national) preferred.</li><li>
Understand regulatory requirements, as well as Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines.</li><li>
Able to communicate with providers, co-workers, and others in a collaborative and courteous manner.</li><li>
