The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing websites in many industries. They should have a strong understanding of front-end and back-end development, with the ability to create visually appealing and functional websites that meet our clients' needs. This exciting role works solely on new sites and works directly with project managers to facilitate the needs of our clients.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Collaborate with project managers to understand website requirements and objectives.</li><li>Design and develop custom themes and plugins based on project specifications.</li><li>Customize existing themes and plugins to enhance functionality and user experience.</li><li>Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility for all websites.</li><li>Conduct website testing and debugging to ensure optimal performance and functionality.</li><li>Integrate third-party tools and services as needed, such as payment gateways, CRM systems, etc.</li><li>Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve skills and stay ahead of industry developments.</li><li>Collaborate with other team members, including designers and content creators, to ensure seamless website integration.</li><li>Manage website hosting, domain, and server configurations as needed.</li></ul>Preferred Education/Skills:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field experience.</li><li>Proven experience as a website designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing past projects.</li><li>Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.</li><li>Experience with responsive web design and mobile optimization techniques.</li><li>Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, including themes, plugins, widgets, and hooks.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>Experience with SEO principles and best practices is a plus.</li></ul>Value-added skills:<ul><li>Experience with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap or Foundation.</li><li>Familiarity with JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as jQuery, React, or Vue.js.</li><li>Proficiency in CSS preprocessors like Sass or LESS.</li><li>Knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices.</li><li>Understanding of web performance optimization techniques.</li><li>Experience with e-commerce platforms such as WooCommerce or Shopify.</li><li>Ability to perform website migrations and domain transfers.</li><li>Knowledge of website security best practices and techniques to mitigate vulnerabilities.</li><li>Familiarity with content management systems other than WordPress, such as Joomla or Drupal.</li><li>Experience with server-side scripting languages like Python or Ruby would be a plus.</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>Competitive salary commensurate with experience.</li><li>Health, dental, and vision insurance plans.</li><li>Flexible work schedule</li><li>Paid time off and company holidays.</li><li>Professional development opportunities, including training and conference attendance.</li><li>Collaborative and inclusive work environment.</li><li>Opportunity to work on diverse projects for clients across different industries.</li><li>Performance-based bonuses and incentives.</li><li>Contribution to retirement savings plans (401k/Profit Sharing).</li><li>8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST (Off at 4:00 PM on Fridays)</li></ul>Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Flexible spending account</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Are you willing to submit a pre-employment background screening?</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Newburgh, IN 47630 (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
