Excel Restoration is seeking a motivated Human Resource Manager who will oversee all human resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, benefits administration, and employee relations. This role plays a key part in shaping Excel&rsquo;s culture, ensuring our people feel supported, and maintaining smooth coordination across departments. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and passionate about creating a positive and productive workplace.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead full-cycle recruitment for all positions (field and office roles).</li><li>Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook.</li><li>Manage onboarding, performance reviews, and employee development initiatives.</li><li>Administer payroll, benefits, and time-off tracking in coordination with accounting.</li><li>Handle employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion.</li><li>Ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws (IL &amp; WI).</li><li>Maintain accurate employee files and HR documentation.</li><li>Coordinate company events, recognition programs, and culture initiatives.</li><li>Partner with leadership to identify and implement training and retention strategies.</li></ul>Key Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).</li><li>3+ years of HR management or generalist experience.</li><li>Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and best practices.</li><li>Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.</li><li>Experience with restoration, construction, or field-based industries a plus.</li><li>HR certification (PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP) preferred but not required</li></ul>Why Excel Restoration?<ul><li>Reputable, locally owned company with a strong presence in mitigation and reconstruction.</li><li>Supportive, collaborative team environment.</li><li>Competitive base pay</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeProjected Total Compensation: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Elk Grove Village, IL 60007 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Elk Grove Village, IL 60007: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
