Sr. Treasury Manager, Foreign Currency and Hedging
Expedia Group&rsquo;s Treasury FX team is responsible for managing foreign currency exposures resulting from over $100 billion of yearly gross bookings across more than 75 countries. The team works closely with Tax, Accounting, Finance, Legal, and other partners to support liquidity, funding, and risk management for Expedia Group&rsquo;s global business entities.
As the Senior Treasury Manager, Foreign Currency and Hedging, you will play a key role in managing Expedia Group&rsquo;s foreign currency risk and helping shape the strategy, execution, and continued evolution of our global hedging programs. This role is a strong fit for a highly motivated, results-driven finance professional with strong communication and project management skills, a passion for automation, and a desire to drive process efficiency and effectiveness. 
 
What You&rsquo;ll Do
<ul><li>Initiate and lead strategic discussions to recommend optimal hedging strategies, hedging instruments, and operational execution.
</li><li>Manage foreign currency risk across a dynamic, multi-program FX hedge portfolio, including revenue hedging, balance sheet hedging, and net investment hedging.
</li><li>Lead automation initiatives to identify currency exposures efficiently and effectively, and develop appropriate hedging strategies.
</li><li>Partner with cross-functional teams to identify additional use cases for AI in Foreign Currency and Hedging process execution.
</li><li>Serve as a subject matter expert for Foreign Currency and Hedging for internal stakeholders, including Forecasting and Planning, Tax, Accounting, Internal Audit, and other teams.
</li><li>Maintain excellent and time-sensitive communication with internal and external stakeholders.
</li><li>Analyze hedging performance and investigate gaps, anomalies, and discrepancies.
</li><li>Consistently identify opportunities to improve program effectiveness and efficiency.
</li><li>Partner with the Cash Management team to support global liquidity needs.
</li><li>Lead ad hoc projects and initiatives across Treasury, including support for capital markets, investments, and other related areas.
</li><li>Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to team members.
</li></ul>Who You Are
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Data Science, or a related field.
</li><li>8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in Treasury, Accounting, Finance, or Banking.
</li><li>Strong understanding of foreign currency risk management, hedging strategies, treasury operations, and accounting concepts.
</li><li>Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and treasury management software.
</li><li>Strong focus on process automation, continuous improvement, and driving efficiency and effectiveness.
</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
</li><li>High level of integrity, initiative, motivation, and curiosity.
</li><li>Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to senior management and external stakeholders with strong attention to detail.
</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
</li><li>Demonstrated experience managing, coaching, or mentoring teams.
</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications
<ul><li>Experience managing complex global FX exposures across multiple currencies, entities, and business models.
</li><li>Experience with revenue hedging, balance sheet hedging, net investment hedging, hedge accounting, and/or treasury management systems.
</li><li>Experience partnering with banking counterparties and internal teams across Finance, Tax, Accounting, Legal, Forecasting and Planning, and Internal Audit.
</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements, automation initiatives, and cross-functional projects.
</li><li>MBA, CPA, CFA, CTP, or other relevant professional certification is a plus.
</li></ul>The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $155,000.00 to $217,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $248,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual&rsquo;s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
