We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant with 3&ndash;4 years of experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day accounting operations, maintain the general ledger, and ensure strict compliance with Withholding Tax (WHT) and General Sales Tax (GST) regulations. A background in a Chartered Accountant (CA) firm is highly preferred, as this role requires a candidate who understands rigorous documentation and audit standards.Key Responsibilities1. Tax Compliance &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Accurately calculate and record Withholding Tax (WHT) on payments to vendors and service providers.</li><li>Prepare and file monthly GST/Sales Tax returns and ensure all input tax credits are claimed correctly.</li><li>Maintain tax registers and ensure timely payment of taxes to the relevant authorities.</li><li>Stay updated on changes in tax laws to ensure the company remains in full compliance.</li></ul>2. Financial Accounting &amp; Reconciliations<ul><li>Perform daily entry of financial transactions in the accounting software.</li><li>Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and ledger reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data.</li><li>Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.</li><li>Review and reconcile vendor statements to resolve any discrepancies.</li></ul>3. Cash &amp; Petty Cash Management<ul><li>Oversee the Petty Cash fund, ensuring all disbursements are supported by valid receipts and approvals.</li><li>Monitor daily cash flow and prepare weekly cash position reports.</li><li>Ensure physical cash counts match the recorded books at all times.</li></ul>4. Audit &amp; Support<ul><li>Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.</li><li>Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations.</li></ul>Required Qualifications &amp; Skills<ul><li>Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ACCA/CA/ICMA part-qualified is a major plus).</li><li>Experience: 3&ndash;4 years of hands-on accounting experience. Candidates with experience in a Chartered Accountant (CA) firm will be given preference.</li><li>Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of GST and WHT laws and filing procedures.</li><li>Software: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or Xero) and advanced MS Excel skills.</li><li>Attributes: Strong analytical mindset, integrity, and the ability to work under tight month-end deadlines.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: Rs60,000.00 - Rs65,000.00 per monthWork Location: In person
