<div>Software Engineer
Position Summary
The Software Engineer is responsible for implementing moderately complex features within a collaborative Agile POD, enhancing existing systems, and contributing to new platform components. They work with guidance from senior engineers, apply core development principles, and gradually take ownership of technical solutions as they grow in the role. This position reports to a Director of Implementation Engineering within a designated department

</li></ul>Deliverables and Performance Measures:
<ul><li>Establish and maintain quality software modules, document and maintain all assigned projects. Follow software development standards and processes.
</li></ul><ul><li>Develop understanding and maintain proficiency in technical areas and standards related to assigned projects.
</li></ul><ul><li>Develop and maintain proficiency in the Life and Annuity insurance domains related to assigned projects.
</li></ul><ul><li>Design, write, comment and unit test own code to ensure modules compiled, are bug-free and are of the highest quality.
</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain accountabilities for all assigned work, provide accurate estimates on work to be completed, and provide descriptions of work completed.
</li></ul><ul><li>Communicate status of ongoing work internally within team and externally with clients, where appropriate.
</li></ul><ul><li>Actively participate in team meetings and troubleshooting project issues.
</li></ul><ul><li>Understand debugging tools and techniques to identify and resolve errors.
</li></ul>Update defect/change tracking system for own modules.

</li></ul>What will make you successful:
<ul><li>Minimum of 2+ years of experience in software development required.
</li></ul><ul><li>Experience with Microsoft tools and technologies.
</li></ul><ul><li>Basic knowledge in Structured Query Language (SQL) required.
</li></ul><ul><li>Professional experience with REACT is preferred.
</li></ul><ul><li>Proficient with MVC, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
</li></ul><ul><li>Familiar with JSON, NPM, jQuery, Ajax, Bootstrap.
</li></ul><ul><li>Working knowledge of Git, Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Visual Studio.
</li></ul>Experience working in an Agile scrum team environment.

This is a full-time position with regular office hours Monday through Friday.
