Proactive vs. reactive is our way of doing things.We are seeking an energetic professional who is proactive and can multi-task. This person must be able to handle a wide range of accounting and tax clients and be able to work independently with the help and training from their senior managers.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Review and Preparation of federal, state and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, S corporations, LLCs and partnerships</li><li>Provide accounting advisory support to clients, including implementation and assistance with new accounting standards</li><li>Manage and maintain accounting books and records for monthly, quarterly and annual clients</li><li>Effective work paper preparation and review skills in compliance with firm standards and procedures for an attestation or non attest services</li><li>Work as an effective team member to complete project components and assignment tasks within the deadline</li><li>Ability to synthesize data and convey information in a meaningful way to clients</li><li>Manage preparing and completing audits as an audit team member</li></ul>Desirable Skills and Competencies:<ul><li>Excellent written and verbal communications skills/etiquette</li><li>Organizational and planning skills</li><li>Highly motivated and mature</li><li>Ability to work well with all levels of management and staff</li><li>Sensitivity to confidential matter/reports/material may be required</li></ul>Job Requirements:<ul><li>Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in accounting</li><li>Certified Public Accountant</li><li>Minimum 3 years of experience as a staff accountant in a public accounting firm</li><li>Minimum 2 years of experience as a senior accountant in a public accounting firm</li><li>Knowledgeable in GAAP and GAAS and proficient in financial statement preparation</li></ul>Required Skills:<ul><li>Microsoft Office including Excel/Word</li><li>QuickBooks and other accounting software</li><li>Checkpoint Tools and other audit software</li><li>Tax software experience of more than 2 years</li></ul>Work Location:<ul><li>One location</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>Health insurance/Dental Insurance/ Tax Season Bonus / year end bonus</li></ul>Schedule:<ul><li>Regular Season - Monday to Friday - 9:00 am to 5:00</li><li>Tax season ( January to April ) - Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 7:00 pm or as required with some Saturdays</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Work from home</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Accounting: 5 years (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Darien, IL 60561
