We're looking for a full-time bookkeeper who either holds an IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) credential or is ready and willing to pursue it &mdash; someone who takes pride in clean books, enjoys working with real people and real businesses, and wants to be part of a tight-knit team that genuinely cares about the work we do.What you'll do<ul><li>Maintain accurate records across multiple small-business and non-profit client accounts</li><li>Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a regular basis</li><li>Process accounts payable and receivable</li><li>Assist with payroll processing and reporting</li><li>Prepare financial reports and support our accountants at tax time</li><li>As an EA (or once credentialed): represent clients before the IRS in audits, appeals, and collections</li><li>Communicate directly with clients in a professional, friendly manner</li><li>Help shape the direction and culture of a growing firm</li></ul>What we're looking for<ul><li>Proven bookkeeping experience (2+ years preferred)</li><li>Enrolled Agent (EA) credential &mdash; or a genuine commitment to obtaining it; we'll support you along the way</li><li>Proficiency in QuickBooks and/or similar accounting software</li><li>Experience with small business or non-profit clients strongly preferred</li><li>Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills &mdash; our clients are people, not account numbers</li><li>Self-directed and comfortable working independently in a small-office environment</li><li>Genuine interest in community-oriented work and mission-driven clients</li></ul>The detailsSchedule: Full-timeLocation: In-office, Paducah, KYCompensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience; willing to discuss creative arrangements for the right fitEA support: We'll work with you on exam prep resources and scheduling if you're pursuing credentialingCulture: Family-owned and operated; low bureaucracy, high trustGrowth potential: Real opportunity to grow into a senior role as the firm expandsPay: $47,000.00 - $56,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Paid sick time</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in West Paducah, KY 42086
