Job SummaryThe Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted operation of all machinery, utilities, and mechanical systems within the roll forming roofing sheet manufacturing unit. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, breakdown analysis, and continuous improvement of equipment performance to support production efficiency and product quality.2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Preventive &amp; Breakdown Maintenance<ul><li>Execute daily, weekly, and monthly Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules for roll forming machines, slitting machines, decoilers, shearing machines, embossing units, and material handling equipment.</li><li>Attend mechanical breakdowns on priority and ensure minimum machine downtime.</li><li>Troubleshoot mechanical issues involving bearings, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and alignment problems.</li><li>Maintain and update maintenance logs, checklists, and breakdown reports.</li></ul>B. Machine &amp; Utility Management<ul><li>Ensure optimum operation of compressors, DG sets, cooling systems, cranes, forklifts, and other utilities.</li><li>Monitor critical machine parameters and carry out condition-based maintenance.</li><li>Conduct machine alignment checks (rollers, shafts, guides) for proper profile accuracy.</li></ul>C. Spare Parts &amp; Inventory Control<ul><li>Identify required spares and maintain adequate stock levels for mechanical components.</li><li>Coordinate with purchase and stores teams for timely availability of spares.</li><li>Verify the quality of received mechanical materials and parts.</li></ul>D. Safety &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety protocols and LOTO procedures.</li><li>Conduct safety audits on machines and recommend corrective actions.</li><li>Train operators and supervisors on safe machine operating practices.</li></ul>E. Continuous Improvement<ul><li>Implement measures to improve machine efficiency, reduce downtime, and extend equipment life.</li><li>Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) for repeated failures and introduce corrective actions.</li><li>Support management in planning machine upgrades or modifications.</li></ul>3. Skills &amp; Competencies Required<ul><li>Strong knowledge of utility and equipment maintenance, including hydraulic &amp; pneumatic systems.</li><li>Experience in roll forming machines, slitting lines, cut-to-length lines, and mechanical material handling equipment.</li><li>Ability to create and follow PM schedules and technical documentation.</li><li>Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Hands-on experience in alignment, bearing replacement, and gearbox/hydraulic system maintenance.</li><li>Familiarity with ERP or Maintenance Management Systems is an added advantage.</li><li>Strong communication, reporting, and team coordination skills.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.</li><li>Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing company (preferably steel/metal forming).</li><li>Knowledge of ISO, 5S, TPM standards is desirable.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: &#8377;25,000.00 - &#8377;50,000.00 per monthWork Location: In person
